Sciatic is a nerve not a joint. Do you have lower back problems? They can often mimic hip issues.

Gooniebird63,
Is your Chiro referring to your Sacroiliac (SI) joint?
Does your hip or back hurt?

No hip joint pain now,
Lower back pain, yes , when carrying something or doing dishes or standing and working such as cutting veggies etc.

The clunking and loose feeling is not causingpain, just worries me, i can manage the back oain but it's not broght on by the feeling of clunking, i just want to know what everyone thinks.

@Gooniebird63, I have merged your threads as per this request One thread for your recovery please?

It is so much easier to be able to help you and give you the advice you need when we are able to easily see when your surgery was, what other issues you may have had, and what has been going on in your recovery just by looking at one thread instead of bouncing back and forth between two or more other threads.

We also have help articles here, you know! In here How To Use This Forum (it's in the "Help & Info" tab across the top of the page). The article you want is this one How can I find my threads and posts?

I am sure you're all tired of hearing me complain. ....but.....
A new difficulty has arisen.
Whenever I put pressure on my operative leg, such as standing on that foot or bending over to tie my shoes, if i am in that position for longer than 15 secondsor so, when i take the weight off that leg i get a searing pain deep in the thigh area,
I just finished the last of 8 PT sessions on Friday,
It started just before the last few days in December about a week before i started PT.
My thr was September 9th and this is a brand new kind of pain, i cant really pinpoint the source and x-rays are "normal" according to Dr.
It's now been 4 days since pt and i have been slacking on my exercises, well guess what? The pain is subsiding.
Has anyone else experienced this sensation or have a idea what might be causing it?
I had to request another month off work because of it, i ned to get back soon.

Unfortunately we see far too much of this. Hips don't really need all that PT. And you are now seeing the results. Rest, ice and elevate. Your hip is telling you it does not need all that activity. I'll better things continue to improve is you give that hip a rest.

Can you tell me the exact site of your pain using this chart?
Please note the instructions in the smaller image

Sometimes it's chart #1... dr1f or dr3f
Sometimes chart #2...el6f, fl6f,fl5f,gl6f,gl5f,hl6f and hl5f.
The two places on chart #1 , can happen independently of one another but all the places in chart #2 happen at the same time, immediately after taking downward pressure off that side such as standing on one leg or standing up straight after bending forward to brush my teeth, etc... the instances chart #1 are more from flexing as in exercising, walking doesn't bother me but getting up off the floor or out of a chair does, even if i use something to aide in the process, ie chair arms etc, i have been sitting in an old time rocking chair with a lawn chair cushion on it for the last month but didn't have the pain in chart #2 until before i got the rocker, and just before i started physical therapy.
I went to my employer last Saturday to experiment with climbing into the truck and trailer, it was painful but doable if i used my good leg to push myself up but impossible with my bad leg. I need to perform that task at least 25-30 times a day, and that's just getting in the truck, double that for getting out.

I'm a bit confused as to what you mean by 'chart 1' and 'chart 2' as there is only one. The image on the left is the front view and the one on the right is the back view. But all the references you have given are for the front!

EL6F means row E, Left hip, column 6, Front, see?

Like this - is this similar to your pain pattern?

There were 3 graph charts but you got it pretty much. . The part you colored blue extends into the front of the thigh a little more.

Like this, then?

The pain subsides more with each day that I don't exercise.
And this tells me heaps! What you have is exercise induce tendinitis such as ITB (ilio-tibial band) and maybe even Trochanteric bursitis .

Can I just advise you of this: hips actually don't need any exercise to get better. They do a pretty good job of it all on their own if given half a chance. Trouble is, people don't give them a chance and end up with all sorts of aches and pains and sore spots. All they need is the best therapy which is walking and even then not to excess.
