So you are "On my feet again"
    Wondered where you had been!
I have had a hectic week and am just catching up with most of my hippy pals.
I hope you have been getting out and about and feeling well.
I know the four month mark was my biggest turnabout so lots of improvement to come.
Hope your Sunday is happy @SE Florida

Thanks @Mojo333! Always good to see you on here! I'm doing really well with all of my "usual" things. I haven't attempted doing any of the harder things that I gave up years ago because of my hips. Like gardening etc. I'll wait on all of that for another few months just to make sure I don't go to the ODIC! So many new hipsters on here this month, hard to catch up. Have a wonderful Sunday, maybe go fishing.......oh that sounds so good!!! :roseshwr:

Yes...I will definitely catch a fish for you today! I'm after small fat bluegill instead of the more impressive largemouth bass.
They are sweet and yummy and I just learned how to clean them myself.
Glad you are staying patient...it is definitely going to be a transition season for you.
    Well worth it, though.

If you can see it, you can be it.

    It's going to happen.

I agree with you...I'm very happy to just be happy with the simple things in life.
    You will get there...I Believe!

@Mojo333 Ahhh, all this talking about fishing. Been fishing since I was a youngster and could hold a cane pole. Well then I have my casting rod now. :realing:lol. I'm so jealous, I fish out of my kayak and love bluegill, perch, sunfish, all pan fish. My daddy taught me to fillet them long time ago. We just finished up our last package out of the freezer. I can't fish right now, ((sad)). I love it when we women get down....and put our own worms on too.:heehee:

@Cecropia So funny, it doesn't seem fair that Mojo gets to do all of that fishing without us, lol! I keep thinking about that fat, sweet tasting bluegill she was after......it still makes me drool! We're flat out of fish and I hate the thought of going to buy it at the store!

@SE Florida The crappie get so big in FL. You must love them. We checked out Orange lake when we were there in March, a guy showed his catch to us, and did a little house hunting by Silver Springs, but I did not know I would end up in surgery. I did limp the whole time we were on vacation but I thought it was just muscles and would get better. What a shock. I hope you get to move by that lake, near the city of Lake Placid? Anyway interesting to see how they get that Christmas tree of yours chopped down....:heehee:

Silver Springs is beautiful, our son and his family have spent spring break vacations there and they love it. Our fishing used to be in the river but discharges from big Lake O ruined the fishing......we're overrun with algae blooms and always a toss up if the fish are safe to eat. :eeeuw: Now that you have your new hip you'll be able to enjoy the trails a lot more, no more limping either! Isn't it wonderful to have that to look forward too....it's a long journey but so worth the outcome! @Cecropia

Very unhappy camper here :gaah:so the Christmas tree lives on. When I emailed the pic last week and talked to OS assistant, she said they'd remove it in the office today. Today the OS determined that it is "so unusual, never seen this before" that they have to remove it at the surgical center in 2 weeks. They have to go below the skin, do stitches, etc. I'm pretty livid at this point since this is obviously from his original handiwork. My husband didn't take it the same way I did but I feel like the OS thinks I'm an idiot. And how perfect because of course I'm out of my post-op stage as far as my insurance goes so will have to do co-pays and everything else for the surgical center. :blackcloud:Is cussing allowed on the forum, no. :tantrum2: You all probably think I'm nuts too but really the incision is one thing but a stupid "tree"? :heehee:

I mean, do they think it is a "bundle" of stitches...a "knot" in the suture...or what?
    :what:
Leave it to you to come up with something new..:sigh:

@Mojo333, after my surgery and my brain was semi-coherent I noticed a small "dot" next to the incision. By the time I went for my post-op it was a smooth roundish growth with a stitch(es) sticking out. The OS thought (I guess) that it would dissolve and just go away. Obviously not because now I have what resembles a red ring with a smooth growth coming out of it that is topped off with a hard, stiff, somewhat sharp top. Ok, that sounds weird but maybe explains it. I can't get over how mad I am about this which is even weirder. Takes a lot to set me off so can't explain the mood?!

I'm so sorry. What a nuisance. I understand your frustration in the way your OS was first dismissive and now drama ensues. Possibly he's taking every precaution by excising it at the surgery center. It does seem a bit like overkill, but hopefully he knows best. Really sorry this is dragging on for you.
    Hugs
