THR New Hippie in Bonesmart!

Haven't been "ON" in a while. I am sleeping NORMALLY... so, I'm not up in the middle of the night, and I'm working, as I have been since two weeks since surgery.

I miss the community, and find myself exhausted right now to read through every thread I'm interested and fascinated and concerned about.... but hopefully, I will soon.

Ebay has become a "second career" for me which takes up much time, as well. I now have five clients... selling THEIR stuff for a cut! I am thrilled, as money is coming in, as I wait for the snowbirds to return in November, December, January.

The Republicans are coming to town here shortly (60 miles from where I am), and we have Hurricane Isaac possibly affecting our area.

I have decided that I will vote for Romney, BECAUSE, the majority of my clients are Republican and VERY wealthy, and they ahve tapered off their dog grooming... so, if Romney helps them, those who are in the 10% of wealthiest in the world... I hope it trickles down to where I'm at... their humble servant.

I hope this finds you all well!

(God love Prince Harry! What a BEAUTIFUL body! Remember what it was like to be 27? Too bad for whoever took the picture; were they a friend? security? hotel personnel? oh well... what a BODY!)

Hugs....

Alicia

Hi Alicia, so good to hear from you again!!! Sounds like things are going pretty well for you ... but you are super busy! If you were closer, I could bring my dogs to you to be groomed and that would be more doggie clients--Lucy is starting to smell a little funky :-)

Hope to hear from you again soon. I've missed you on here.

Good to read your post. Glad you are sleeping well. Though I can agree that Prince Harry is a cutie, not sure I can vote along same ticket as you, though wishing you well in business as well as personally :)

God, what I wouldn't give to have the 27 year old body again!!!

All the best
Suki

Alicia, good to hear all is well and recovery is well under way..

I wish for you more doggie clients to come your way :)

Hi dear Alicia,

Good to hear from you. I am so happy you are sleeping well-it is bliss isn't it?

I hope you get lots and lots of dogs who need their hair done! That is good news about your eBay success! May that continue for you, bright woman.

Hugs,
Elle

Big Hugs to Rider1960, Suki, Poppet, and Elle11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Suki: re: Romney; my "vote" only came to me just this week... and only in regard to money. Strictly money. I am so exhausted by the way I've been living the past few years, and I can't believe it's happening to me.... This economy situation was not my fault! I do not feel Romney represents me in ANY way, but he DOES represent a lot to my customers down here.... so, I decided to just "simplify" my thinking the other day, and it is selfish, because I need to get out of this day to day, month to month, financial anxiety and exhaustion. And, I think it will be true. If my clients get their candidate, and don't get taxed more, they will go back to spending more on my services. I am not a Romney fan, but I am very focused on getting ahead of this "game of money" and feel determined.

My hip surgery and recovery may have a lot to do with my added determination.

So, please update me on what you are all doing, and how you have been. I'm now dogsitting in Longboat Key, FL, at a client's home (3 miles from my shop), and awaiting Hurricane Isaac. Joe Biden has already cancelled his "visit", and our Governer (who bought his election) has announced that the RNC will open Tuesday instead of Monday.

Meanwhile, Southern, Western, Eastern Florida waits for the storm....

Hugs to ALL of BONESMART!

(Still "grooving" to Prince Harry's freedom and still watching Benedict Cumberbatch in the Sherlock series)

Do hope you are ok over there Ada... Thinking of you :)

Alicia

Hope you didn't/aren't getting too soggy down Florida way. Hope these rains aren't making the bones ache too much. Been thinking of you alot as I watched the news over the last couple of days.

Hope you are safe.

Suki

Hello! Florida is a VERY interesting place to live in the Hurricane Season! Thankfully; the storm went way West (poor New Orleans and my friends there!), and we just got some high winds for a few days and "smatterings" of rain from the "bands"... very weird. Tropical Storm Debbie (about a month ago) caused much more damage here, that many are trying to recover from. So, all the grocery stores do great business leading up to these storms, and we've got till the middle of November until we can get some relief from the heat, humidity and anxiety of hurricanes! (Not sure what I prefer; snowstorms in the Midwest or the hurricanes!)

Separately, I had my 3-month check up yesterday. Everything is perfect. My OS couldn't have been more pleased with my weight loss (17 lbs since surgery), and my exercise regime. He said DO EVERYTHING! I laughed and said, well I haven't "done everything".....

I feel great. And, as I told my OS, I am just so incredibly grateful.... I truly feel I have been given my life back.

Of course Tampa is in the spotlight right now (75 miles North of Sarasota).... so, we have "extra" heat in Florida right now!

Hugs and best wishes ALL around BONESMART!

yoo-hoo Ada,

What a fantastic weight loss, well done :)

Very pleased that you received a good report from your OS, always nice to be reassured.

Just watching Mitt Romney accepting the Republican party presidential nomination.. need to read up more about US politics.

Stay cool in Florida...

Alicia

17 pounds! Yeew-haa girl. You go.

Glad you just got wet and not blown out to sea during the storm.

And how 'bout that Clint Eastwood! Think Mitt and Co. were having heart failure through that little improv routine? I had to giggle as I imagined their faces.... :giggle:

Hugs

Hi Alicia, I'm glad you didn't get whammed by the storm. Sad that they happen so frequently though. Must be scary living in hurricane territory. Yikes!!!

Wow! You are impressive with the weight loss and ... heck ... all you do!! You are one tough and determined cookie!!

Stay safe,

Dorothy

Dear Alicia,

Wow! You really have good news for us (except maybe that bit about Rommney...HA!) so, so glad you had flying colors on your check-up! Excellent! And fantastic about your weight loss! You go, girl.

You have such a wonderful upbeat and cheeky personality..we are all relieved your hip can keep up with it!

Hugs,
Elle

Greetings again....

Thanks for the nice support regarding my update and weight loss. I know I sound like a broken record, but I am so grateful to not feel chronic pain anymore. It's just amazing that I can move again.... exercise is a joy. Really!

Clint Eastwood: I really thought it was kind of bizarro..... still ruminating about that.

CLINTON: I think his best speech ever. This man can break things down into layman's terms like no one else... and oh, what charisma and style he has still. He actually looked thin I thought, then someone mentioned he had to lose weight re: cholesterol issues?

Poppet: you are a Forum Advisor? Terrific! When did that happen?

Elle, thanks for your kind words. Believe me, I have not always "sounded" this way...t he past three years have been utter hell due to the increasing chronic pain. And, most people that know me can't believe how changed I am... like I took a happy pill or something. (I was a real B***** for a while!).

Dorothy.... when I moved here to take care of my mother, I became accustomed to the hurricanes just like snowstorms and tornadoes back home in Minnesota. You adjust and live your life and accept what Mother Nature gives you - especially this close to such a large body of water.....which is so beautiful that I say a prayer of gratefulness daily that I am here (even though financially struggling!).

Hugs all around. (Need to go catch up on the posts!)

Ada, I really think it's time you change the title of this thread! You've been here 4 months now, this thread has 94 posts and had 1,788 hits - I think neither of you qualify as 'new' any longer! :heehee:

hey girl, just checking in on you. Wow you are doing great. ...and no longer "new" :) Great news you got yourself kayaking, survived the weather, though your politics, to me, are askew :( Seems to me your clients, the haves, and you, the have nots, would be evened out a bit if you voted the other way. But I'll stick to hips, not politics. You are right about mother nature. She gives us something no matter where we live.

So glad you are doing well and especially glad you got your "happy" back, cathy

Jo, I always respect your advice and appreciate your knowledge. How should I label my thread.... like "Survivor" or something like that? Please advise.

Separately, did you catch this piece of my new "boyfriend" Benedict? We didn't get it here in the States, but evidently he opened the Olympics, and we didn't even know about it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvKIX_McMNO

Jo... how do I even change it? Am I missing something in the "account" area? I just spent 10 mins looking through, and didn't see where I could change the title of my "blog." Help is appreciated.

adaflorida, you can't change it, but I can do it for you. Let me know what you want the title to be and I'll do it pronto.
