I'm here for a while yet, I'm hoping I can put my left knee off until next year, so far the cortisone injection I had last week seems to have done the trick, I'm not sure whether I want to go down the arthroscopy route, I think if the injections can hold the pain at bay I'd rather go straight for the TKR. So it will be me and you again this time next year :):groan::gaah::). Never mind, we can enjoy the summer first, you in Greece and me in France.
As you said, it has been such a good support, I have really valued the chats on here, all the tips and friendly advice have been invaluable.
 
Morning all! I believe the glasses mean the thread is being "watched" by forum advisors or monitored by Josephine. Not in a bad way just to keep an eye out as that person may need advice. Enjoy reading your posts!

Hi @suzzee2000 nice to hear from you ,yes seem to be doing o.k till I over do things so easy to do to much be warned, your very brave having both knees done, my other knee is very bad having it done in January unless it gets worse,at least once yours are done that's it no more surgery.Will be thinking of you take care speak soon

That's the main thing I worry about with myself I can not sit around! I don't even like TV I've always thought it a waste of time! I will do everything NOT to try and over do it!! Thanks for sharing!!
 
Hi @yiayia3, I SO agree about not overdoing it, it is so easy to do and then takes two or three days to recover again - I know :cry:. Oh well, maybe I'll learn eventually. Hope you are ok xx

@dogwheels that would be lovely but make it chocolate, been out today bought a few summer tops always makes me feel good now resting while hubby cooks dinner,@Ellejay hope your feeling better today and enjoying your weekend, been using my new ex bike just 10 mins but seems to help the stiffness.Hope you all have a great evening speak later
 
Hi @yiayia3 - hope you are enjoying your weekend. It is supposed to be gorgeous today here but i am still waiting! It has been a very cold snowy winter and I am so sick of it. The weather is supposed to be beautiful for a few days then a chance of wretched snow again Wednesday. It is a good thing Easter is in April!

I will also be having my second knee done and will go back to my OS in June. If all goes well it will be by September. However the first knee took me well over two months to get scheduled. It seemed like everyone wanted their knees done at the end of the year.

Hi Jozilla its been a lovely spring day here after a very wet mild winter no snow this year, it seems quite a few people will be having the other knee done so we will be able to help each other, have a great weekend take care Terri

Hi Terri, you sound happy and well, buying clothes, using your new exercise bike, it all sounds really positive, which is great.
I've had a lovely weekend so far with friends, we had an absolutely gorgeous meal at a restaurant specialising in Keralan food, it was delicious. My knee even behaved itself sitting at a table for three hours! Providing it's still behaving itself tomorrow, we may try to go for a shortish walk if the weather is as good as the forecasters predict, before a roast beef dinner, and then once our friends depart we'll probably both fall asleep in chairs.
