Here's the latest injury...Stubbed the middle toe of my replaced hip on a chair leg. Got a little jolt! Boy, am I bruising lately ...

Ok, this isn't even funny any more. My feet feel like they are on fire! Literally! They are burning, cracking, dry and so are the palms of my hands now. What is causing this along wil all my easy bruising?

Does anyone know if Prednisone does this? i am speeding like a whirling dervish on the stuff too! But, I did have to saok my feet in psom salts a few times last week, so I don't know what is doing it, but I am so sore.

Anyone have any remedies? @Josephine: ? HELP. I think I shall be back to the foot guy tomorrow!

I don't have any answers about what might be causing your feet and palms to crack and hurt, but you might try using Vaseline on them and then putting socks on your hands as well as your feet to hold the moisture in overnight. I've done that very successfully when I had ultra dry skin on my feet in the winter.

Hi Janet, if you search the net for prednisone side effects some of the symptoms you are describing are listed. Perhaps a visit to discuss a reduced dose? Hope you are feeling better!

Yep, sad to say that all those are side effects of prednisolone. Time to see your doctor.

What have you been up to , while you are at the doc's get yourself an extra large great big bag of cotton wool and wrap yourself in it.

Nope! I have been too busy! I am feeling on top of the world! Haven't been able to sit still. No pain, except for the silly Ganglion Cyst on my wrist. See the OS on Monday for the results of my MRI. Who knows what will happen.

The prednisone is tapering down from 6 at first to now on 2 for 4 days and then 1 for 3 days.

Ok, bubble wrap AND cotton! This is what I did on the bottom corner of my all glass shower door last night. Never felt it! Felt a tickle on my leg! Hello, and I was on my off white carpeting! I immediately ran to the hardwood. Do you think I am speeding out og control??? Bill is about ready to tie me down!

But I feel so darn good! I haven't been without pain in years.

Yup, but I am pain free and happy! (actually, that was a little pin hole from the squeegy on th bottom of the door. But, I guess my blood has thinned so it trickled and looked far worse.)

Now I know why people get well and get on with living! But, I will NEVER leave this forum, PROMISE :wink1:!

Jamie, just put on the vasline and white cotton socks (well, not on my hands yet :DOH. My mom always recommended that too...
