Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Janet I had that same complaint last week and all it was, was dehydration, I hope it is the same for you. I am delighted to see that you have the answer to your long term problem. I am amazed that you have stuck with us all this time, as everyone moved on with their lives and you were stood still with such problems, i think I would have become seriously depressed. I pray that you get it sorted sooner than later and get the chance to get on with your life, you so deserve it.

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Do you mean this black hole, Janet?

It's the hole for an extraction instrument!

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

:hysterical: No Jo. Not that one. (sorry ...)

If you look at the first film in post #20, there is a black almost thumb print looking spot right over or beside the right side of my pelvic bone. That is pretty close to where this "phantom" pain is.

Well, I went to the NP at 1pm, who sent me for labs and another CAT scan with dye. We just got home at 6:15. I could have waited for the results but chose to come home.

I still have the sharp pain but no answers as of yet. Cripes, had to drink at least 1/2 gallon of cranberry juice with a conconction of something in it , and then the injection of dye. Are we having fun yet ...

May explain the nausea from last week as well. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Janet - been thinking about you! Hope all is well!

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Janet,
I saw the black mark on the first x-ray but it looked more like a smudge than anything else - so I hope that's what it was!

Thinking of you. :friends:

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Well, everything is "fine" although I haven't seen the results of either CAT scan yet. My NP said to follow up with GYN doc and have an ultrasound.

That's fine, except I don't know if Medicare will pay for another ultrasound as I have one every November. I probably should have had the D&C that they wanted to do in November, but I chose to watch and wait.

I figure if it's my ovary, a D&C doesn't have anything to do with that anyway. In any event, the pain is gone, I'm sick from the drink and dye, so will wait until I read the reults online myself on 7/1.

The NP also said to check with the OS to see if the THR hardware may have caused the pain...

So, I know as much now as I did last week...I feel like a dish rag.

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Aw you poor thing! Rest and recover this weekend. Glad the pain is gone anyway!

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So was that the black spot I pointed out for you, Janet?

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Yes Jo, and it is not a smudge...

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dear Janet....I do hope this all settles out for you. You're in my prayers, sweetie......(((((HUGS)))))

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

No it's not a smudge - it's gas in your bowel! :th_heehee:

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:...must be some gas to have such pain! Hmmm, kind of doubt that's the source of it then. I'm feeling a bit "iffy" so far this morning again. Same spot, but not as severe and a tad nauseus . Must get the ovary checked.

*** @Josephine: I also just read the results of my first CAT scan for th hip/leg online. Although I don't see the OS until 7/1, I have access to the report. I am not happy. There was nothing scanned as far as my femur!

The whole report talks about the hips and placement of the hardware which is "normal". It does say deterioration in the left hip. I only read it quickly. I will read it again. What I was looking for was the cause of the thigh pain :arghh:...

***It calls it a lower rt. ext. scan

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Oh Janet, I can fully understand your :arghh: right now!.
Thinking of you.

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Suzie, I think I'm going to have a good cry . And not feeling well on top of this is just the frosting on the cake...

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Janet,I too was worried about black blob on my x-ray.Glad to know it's just gas!

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Janet,
Looks like you are finally getting to the bottom of what is causing the pain. My prayers and thoughts are with you as you decide what to do next. It is good to have all the support here at BoneSmart. Keep hanging in there!

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hey Kathy! You did #2?:yahoo:Way to go!

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:...must be some gas to have such pain! Hmmm, kind of doubt that's the source of it then.
No it won't be the cause of your pain as it is perfectly normal.
Hi Janet,I too was worried about black blob on my x-ray.Glad to know it's just gas!
And by the looks of it, that bit of gut is lying horizontally front to back so you're kind of looking into your own gut! :th_heehee:

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Well, Back to square one tomorrow :arghh:. Am going to let the OS have it as well as the GYN! I called the GYN in the first place and they sent me to the NP! Geesh, my insurance will not be happy ! And the OS? I don't know what to say???

I TOLD him my hip was fine, that it was my thigh! Does anyone LISTEN anymore??? I have had it! I have TOTALLY lost faith in the medical field...
