Hi all
@Mayhip8 and
@Calgal
Yes I got discharged and was riding home in the car no more than 22 hrs from when I was on the OR
@ChrissyW thanks for for the stand up sit down because I can barely do either. This leg HURTS. I'm medicating and icing like crazy but whew, what pain! Dear hub is doing it all for me, bless him. I have to keep telling myself there is nothing wrong, that it's just normal post op pain. Every day it'll get a little better. This the worst.
I read all the stuff you all are doing and I wonder if ill ever be able to do that again
Well I know I will, but right now it seems so far away! The surgery went well, everyone signed off on me as set to go.
I have oxycodone on board and tramadol if need be. I plan to stagger them like we do with patients ,
@Mayhip8 with the biggest dose at bedtime, of the strongest med. So theres my whinge as you dears would say.
It does feel good, though to be DONE.
I pray that all need of surgery stays away for a long long time. I did have a good summer, amount of pain was minimal.
There is much to look forward to. There!
Its sounds like a lovely memorial thats planned@ mayhip8. I bet you get through it just fine, but if you dont, tears are understandable.
And I forgot at least you're working abbreviated hours .We can do as little as four hour . They'll take you any way they can get you for the bedside nursing. I miss the collegiality too but definitely not the stress.
I really am out of the loop with back to school. Do all UK kids go in uniforms?
Also there is other stuff, backpack stuff, pens pencils notebooks galore, lunch boxes I remember those days. Ca- ching
Ca-ching as we say in the States.$$$$$!
But I loved my girls being home and I miss it . Anne (older daughter) asked if she could bring me something. I told her just bring Ari! She will be my best medicine. I was entertaining myself by going back to the beginning of this thread and reading. Weve been together all summer! Thank goodness, we had such fun. May it continue!
