Hi all
My weekend continues with a trip to an Italian restaurant out the road tonight.
A friend stopped by with a bag of tomatoes from his garden and they are so good! We've had weird tomato growing weather and they haven't been as good as other years but this man did well! Caprese salad at last!
Tomorrow is a brunch at a converted railway station, fancy too! My danger at those all you can eat brunches is , well ,all you can eat! But that's ok I'll just skip dinner.
Monday my mom is coming out for a cookout--- burgers, sweetcorn and Caprese salad and brownies for dessert!
Tuesday we have a couple of meetings, with our travel agent for our Italy trip in the spring and then at night at our church. I'll get my surgery time between 1 and 5 pm on tuesday so I will post it-- would love to be first one up!!
So different this time around! I'm involved at Bonesmart, and that with my previous experience that I hadn't had before. I already have equipment to use that I'll take with me to the hospital and I'll put my ice packs in the freezer.
I'm doing ok without my NSAIDS with just tylenol for now, all my other joints are missing the NSAIDS too but the less bleeding during surgery the better, I know.
@Mayhip8 from a few posts back i think i will adjust my medication, too this time around. It's just that i was so eager to drive at 2 weeks out and so wanted to not be on narcotics. But heck I'll just stay home and medicate, it helps with moving around comfortably. I have all kinds of meds left over from last time so with another batch I should have enough.
I have a set of swivel- rocker- recliners bought back when we moved here almost 2 years ago. I think I may spend more time sleeping in that! I wish I knew why bed is so hard to get comfy in in this situation! Also remember when we first all met and kept complaining about lack of sleep and frequent loo trips--- getting up and down from the toilet with that walker!! All of it is coming back to me!

But I should be 4 out weeks out if you go on your appointed date and I can join @ChrissyW and @Calgal with something festive tied to the cane and a pompom or 2 attached to my grabber to cheer you on in your turn!!! I will be all out of hips and starting bilateral recovery!
Have a safe and dry weekend!
Love to all

. No sun shining but I've had a pleasant weekend ( bedroom all sorted and looking calm, pretty and unusually for me very tidy!) Hope you all have a good day and get to do everything you want (I suggest shopping and cake!)

. Although I wasn't bruised anywhere obvious, it's sure to pop it's head up sometime in recovery! Good luck tonight at work, nurse mayhip! Your grateful patients await and perhaps it's good to get back on the horse, so to speak, to distract your mind from your upcoming op and of course your recent sad news.
