Please set us know what you find out. We will be praying for you.

I have taken sistersinhim's suggestion and have lined my recliner with pillows. Feels better.

Read the piece about massaging and stretching the it band.
I think you need some advice, my friend. Will you answer some questions if I post them?

Woke up throwing up and on a strong heave something happened that sent pain from my hip to my toes
It's not unusual when you have a rather violent vomit, to just strain the back and the hip muscles giving rise to a bolt of sciatic pain. This won't have any dire consequences but it might ache for a while.

I'm so glad they helped you! Sleep is so important to our healing. Anything we can do to help get what is needed!

Saw the surgeon today. No infection, possible knee strain when leg got caught up in the sheets, changed pain med from oxy to hydrocodone to see if sugar is being affected by the meds.

Folks, it's unnecessary to quote a post just to reply to it. Just scoot on down to the bottom of the page and start typing! Unless there is some specific phrase you want to address, of course!
Then do it like this How to quote a post.

Thanks for understanding! :)

Sorry you are having sleep, blood sugar and pain issues! Hopefully the hydrocodone will work better for you! I took note of the recliner and pillows! Keep us updated!

Josephene were you going to ask me some questions?

It depends upon atheism person. Between my recovery and now my old knee being in pain I usually sleep in my recliner.

Realized tonight that I am pushing with my leg in my sleep and causing a lot of soreness in my knee. Anyone else do this and how can I stop. I have always been a restless sleeper.

Oh yes, for many years I've had to keep my knees moving all through the night. A few nights ago, I woke up with my new knee hurting from moving it 'wrong' in my sleep. Upon waking up the next morning, it was sore for a few hours, but the discomfort disappeared after a few hours. It is amazing how much we move while asleep. I have a GearFit that tracks my sleep when I set it up, and I was surprised how little deep, non-motion sleep I actually get. I bet you are the same way and sometimes will move your knee in a way it's not ready to move yet!

Ladt night I woke up with sharp pain realising I was pushing with my operative knee to rearrange my self.

I guess the only way to not do it, is to put on a brace. But, for me, that in itself would keep me awake.

Sorry, I took a day off yesterday!

Here y'go

I'd like to ask you some questions if you don't mind, and it would be very helpful if you would answer each one individually - numbered as I have done - in as much detail as you can then I'll come back as see where you are ....

1. what are your pain levels right now? (remember the 1-10 scale: 1 = no pain and 10 = the worst you can imagine)

2. what pain medications have you been prescribed, how much are you taking (in mg please) and how often?

3. how swollen is your leg compared to these?
[Bonesmart.org] Kneeling

4. what is your ROM - that's flexion (bend) and extension (straightness)

5. are you icing your knee at all? If so, how often and for how long?

6. are you elevating your leg. If so how often and for how long?

7. what is your activity level? What do you do in the way of housework, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc., and

8. are you doing any exercises at home? If so what and how often?
This is the most crucial question so please help me by using the format I have left as an example
(which means please make a list and not an essay!)

Exercises done at home
- how many sessions you do each day
- enter exercise by name then number of repetitions of each
etc., etc.

Anything done at PT
- how many times a week
- enter exercise by name then number of repetitions of each
etc., etc.
