Josephine,
I went back to work full time at week 6 for 7 days. I have been part time ever since. Most days I work 4 hours at work and 2 at home. Some days early on, I would take off, maybe one day a week. I am no longer doing that.
So I have been back at work almost 6 weeks at this point. I had no choice and it has been okay.
I also do my PT 3x a week, so it is a very full week.
Yes, I do get tired, but I would probably be nuts if I was at home.
Next week, I fly to Orlando for a full week of work doing a conference, again, no choice. I rented a scooter as I realized I would not be able to walk the halls.
Also, from another thread, I have had no problem taking pain meds with PT. I never had much swelling from the beginning and do not swell much now. My doc told me to take the pain meds at PT so I did.
I am bending 125 on my own and probably would not be at that point if I had not.
It has worked okay for me, I know it does not for anyone.
I wish I had seen all of this BEFORE I schedule my surgery. I would have done it differently. I would NOT have gone back to work at 6 weeks, WAY too early. I am thankful I will be retired for my next knee and can do my own schedule.
Thanks again for all the support.
Silver
