Are you going to try and wear heels Kathy. I always get stumped with completing an outfit with shoes because i haven't wore heels in years and sometimes flats just dont do it. Im looking for an outfit for Karleas graduation in July and Im sure the shoes will be a problem. Im loving your outfit tho. Very very classy and im like you. I dont pay as much for my shoes etc think OMG they are expensive. But for the girls I have spent hundreds for prom dresses, shoes, nails etc without a second thought. And we are not even into weddings yet. O joy.

I am looking for kitten heels, Pat. Although you can get pretty flats, they just don't cut the mustard with something smart. Heels would be fine if I was sitting all day and evening. But I intend on doing some dancing - that has been my main ambition since having my knee done - do be able to dance at Russell's wedding, as that is the first function of this year. Okay, I doubt I will be jumping in the air, but I will do the best I can.

Oh you can get such gawjus shoes with heels nowadays and they are so feminine. Really finish an outfit off. But all I can do with them is look and admire. When we went to Bluewater shopping on Saturday, my friend, Pat (great name :heehee: ) and I both remarked how many women there were (young and not so young) shopping in stilettos. Are they mad?! They obviously think more of their vanity than they do for their comfort  But then, I'm only jealous if the truth be told :heehee:

I love the heels the young where nowadays, but everytime I look at them I just think how much "my" feet would hurt in them!

The dress you chose is beautiful. You are going to look lovely! And thank God thats not your legs, those were pretty hairy! LOL

Thank you, Gail and Mutley :)

Marianne, the nude shoes I have seen so far have all had high heels, so probably looking towards black. Kitten heels are just very small heels, as in these:

Bev, your daughter's friend will be very sorry when she is older that she didn't heed her doctor's advise. But I suppose we're all the same when we are young. Oh, back in the day........ :heehee:

Love the shoes!!! Perfect for your outfit.
Bev that is interesting about the high heels. I would think she would have more problems than the knees. Don't they shorten the achilles tendon and also cause bunions. I guess it's worth it to her! We'll see her on here in a few more years!

Oh they're not my shoes, Marianne, Brownie51, I just thought you were asking what kitten heels were and I got the pic from google images :heehee: Same as they're not my hairy legs :heehee:

Kathy, you are going to look fabulous for your son's wedding! Your hubby won't be able to keep his eyes off of you for sure! Love the outfit! :thumb:

Ha ha Pat, I quite agree :rotfl:

Thank you, Jackie. I'll tell Ray what you said :heehee: Actually he might be too pre-occupied. Russell has asked him to be his best man, which is a great compliment. He's very nervous about making a speech, never having done one before and is currently writing it. No doubt I'll be checking it over and typing it out for him. Then of course he has another speech to make when our eldest daughter, Kelly, gets married at the end of September.

Russell did bestow quite an honor on his dad that's for sure! :) I don't know if Ray is an emotional guy but I can tell you mums and dad get very emotional on their children's wedding day, son or daughter, so you guys will get a double dose this year my friend with a great sense of pride!
As for Ray being too preoccupied, I doubt very much that it will last all day, as for you as we'll my friend! Something about seeing our spouses all spiffed up is really eye catching! :martini:

Actually, there's nothing like a man in a suit and tie, she says winking :heehee:

Hope you're enjoying your cruise Jacky48, or are you back on home ground?

Kathy, we are in Anchorage right now and for the next 5 days we will be moving north to Fairbanks by way of dome train. We will be leaving in a few minutes.

And you are sooo right, there is nothing like a man in a suit and tie! :)
