Jacky, Renegade Concepts LAP PRO is the one I got for $30.

Hi Cavewoman! Welcome to the you and your knees! That's good advise you gave. I'm sure you have found good advice as well.

I have the TEDS on for the first time. They are more comfortable than I imagined, and I was proven wrong, as I thought they could not possibly fit!

Otherwise, a quiet day with visitors. Birthday for one son. All gone now but hubby who is squeezed in and napping next to me.

Tomorrow will be a busier day as things get underway in earnest. I'm glad to have had the weekend to settle in and just do some healing.

enjoy those naps! :sleepz:

Hi Janet

It's great to hear you are doing better. What a road for you. I'll definitely keep you in mind in about 10 days when I start my journey. Have a great night and good Monday with all of the PT/OT.

Lisa.

Janet, the naps are VERY important. Hope that your week is a good one. It sounds like they'll take good care of you, and you'll be even better in another week -- walking and doing PT. Rest whenever you can. :sleepz:

Yes---enjoy and take those naps! They are very, very important! With sleep issues common, naps are a great activity to partake in!

Ironically, can we remember when we were little and we did not like to be told that it was "nap time"?:biggrin:

Thanks all, little at a time here. I got on the CPM machine for two hours tonight. The big thing that I did tonight was get up from the bed and pivot to the bedside commode, and then get back in bed. It took two people to get me up, and the little aide about collapsed under me. It shall be interesting to see this become easier.

Coming in on a Friday afternoon, and I understand that they had 15 patients come in, and then being the weekend, I can cut them a little slack, but they need to be more organized with patient orientation. There will be some sorting out tomorrow. :what:

On a nicer note, I was on the phone with my daughter and in the background Daniel asked which grandma was on the phone. When she said it was Grandma that just got new knees, he asked could I go downstairs with him now?:wub2:

Janet,

It is so nice to see you posting!:yahoo:

I know you will benefit from the inpatient rehab and before long they won't be able to stop you! I admire your tenacity!:yes 4:

Sounds like you're doing well. Enjoy the naps. I'm 4 weeks out tomorrow, and I still love my naps. Take care as you continue to recover.
Peggy

Hi all, it's been an up and down sort of day.:dev-godseesaw:
. I am transfering from bed to walker to seat very well without assistance today. But shortly after morning meds, I started feeling shaky, weak, lightheaded and queezy. I spent most of the morning sleeping. Didn't get zoflam? until early afternoon. PT had me up and walking out the room and a right turn, but I ended up feeling more lightheaded, so that ended. He was, however, very impressed given how he saw me on Saturday. Seems to be an ongoing problem getting light headed when Up - I just wasn't getting up before much. I passed out first time up at the hospital.

I'm not in much pain, 0-2 mostly when at rest. Standing hurts, but it's tolerable. Very stiff. It's work!

Janet, I know what you mean about the lightheadedness! It happened to me a lot and they've had to really lower my doses of BP meds. It took a couple of about 4 days to get it right and I must admit it was a very scary time since I have never felt lightheaded ever before in my life!:skeptical:
Hopefully this will pass quickly for you and you can move on with more confidence. You sound like you're doing really well other than that, which is great!:thumb: every day you get stronger and can do more! It seems like you had a very eventful day and hopefully you'll get a great nights rest for another full day tomorrow! good night my friend!:friends:

Hi Janet

Sorry to hear. It sounds like you have orthostatic hypotension. Are you getting up very quickly? Try going from lying to sitting rest for a few minutes then stand and then walk. All those meds can do this. Go slowly.

Hope you feel better
