[Bonesmart.org] Journey Continuing June 4th, 2012 I'm the culprit. Better watch out for Sonja, Janet. She'll have you swaddled in bubble wrap careening down a mountain side at break neck speed. But, if you're game, you might as well join the BJ skiing party with the rest of us idiots.

We ARE having fun with this!

Wow Janet, your hair done, the MALL:skep: and the Godiva kiosk:thumb:, nails done and daughter-in-laws you must have been exhausted! That is one full day! That's no excuse to wet the bed however, oh no wait that was a leaky slushy bag, so sorry!:rotfl:

It was definitely cold, not warm! I think all the sitting yesterday in the car, hair salon and nail salon, took a toll. My legs ached and kept me awake most of the night. Plus it was odd sleeping on the other side of the bed for some reason. Feet up today!

That was quite a bit to do all in one day, that's for sure! Wet feeling is bad, but cold wet is even worst!:eeeuw:
I know what you mean about being an odd feeling sleeping on the, he side of the bed. I hope all is dry on the home front and you get a better nights sleep tonight!

My big day out today, as it turned out to be, but mostly driving and sitting. I got my hair highlighted and cut, went to THE MALL, but only to go to the Godiva kiosk, got my nails done, drove to my daughter-in-laws to take birthday greetings and gift, then home to gather trash and fix some dinner for myself. Son-in-law put the trash and recycling out for me. Elevating and icing now. I iced between the chocolate and nails as well. Not even time for a nap today!

Wow. Janet. That is a lot. Are you walking with a cane or anything? And how is the driving going? Pain?
I can't imagine doing all that in one day, and by yourself? Good for you.

Janet,
If you had to go to the Mall I guess you went to the right store GODIVA. That had to make the day a little easier.
By the way if you are going to join us on the ski trip please let us know so we can create your outfit for you, I still am working on ideas for BJ's.

Driving is fine, doesn't seem to bother me. I don't walk with a cane. I actually did very little walking yesterday, as I knew where to park to get to Godiva. It was for my daughter in laws birthday. I think sitting getting my hair done and then again to get my nails done is what bothered me. I usually spend most of he day with my feet up, and that was 3 1/2 hours of chair sitting.

All I need is a snuggie and a fireplace. I would be après all the time when it comes to skiing. I used to ski until I realized I hated it.

Janet, you walked without a cane?! OMG! Wow, I envy you! My, I am still working on my gait. I like to walk barefoot, but I don't think that's good for me right now, so I must remember to put my shoes on in the early morning. Good for you!
I would hope that you bought yourself some Godiva chocolates too, after all you worked hard for it! :console2:

Shhh! Dark chocolate with sea salt!

I don't even walk to the bathroom barefoot. I have an instep that kills if I don't keep it in orthotic soles. Even my slippers have them. My gait is perfect, as much as I can tell. That's one thing I have going for me. I don't think to take a cane, it just seems in the way, but it would be smart to do so. When we were leaving Red Robin Sunday, my foot slipped on something spilled on the floor. I didn't lose my balance or anything, but it's scary and reminded me I should carry something. But then I don't think of it again.

Janet, you have intrigued me with that, dark chocolate with sea salt I have seen it in the stores but I haven't picked it up yet, today might be the day.
I should wear my shoes all the time since my feet are always in pain, which causes me to walk funky, but some how my mind keeps thing that I'm a kid until I look in the mirror and realize, ouch my back hurts, my feet hurt, everything hurts except for my knees! When did that kid get this age anyway! From now on shoe go on first thing in the morning!

My feet were ruined for going barefoot when we moved to Brazil and the floors were all hard marble or tile. Where they did do carpeting, like in a bedroom, it was thin carpet with no pad over cement. I haven't been able to walk barefoot comfortably since then, but now I need the orthotic footbed as well.

DO try the chocolate with sea salt! I'm not a big chocolate lover, but a piece of that occasionally hits the spot!

One of the last times my husband and I walked the 7 mi beach in Old Orchard Beach, Maine together was when I ruined my feet. It was such a beautiful warm spring day and the water and wet sand felt so good on my feet I decided to do the whole walk barefoot. Not a wise move! When the knees allow me to that is the first place we'll go for a vacation and walk that beach again, with shoes this time.:yes!:

Oh by the way I did buy the Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt today. Can't wait for my next craving!:)
