Wow last night was sooooo tough I was taking Oramorph every hour and the burning and agony was so bad I was tempted to go to A&E it is still so bad this morning but my morning MST has eased it god only knows what is going on in there I would love to be inside and have a look round!

Aw Natalie - maybe you should go to A&E. You can't sit and suffer all weekend! :friends:

I didn't go just sat tight and carried on with painkillers and ice and heat it's been easier today but the same pain has just started again

Are you doing anything different? More activity or a new activity that might be aggravating things? So sorry you are suffering Natalie!

No just the same still keeping up with some low impact exercise like walking or exercise bike but I don't do it on the days the pain is very bad.I also do toning exercises on legs to try and keep the muscle tone I have left! But I have been doing all these for about 6 months now on and off.

I have a lot of pain down my shin and into the front of my foot which really annoys me as it is sore when I put my foot down to walk!

So I went to the doctors for the pain patches and he gave me the go ahead he just needed to find out the conversion from my morphine to the Bu Trans patches so he rang me this morning and I can't have them, they won't be strong enough compared to what I'm on now so the next option is to up the MST again and put up with the side effects and hope they ease the pain.....

Oh....so sorry, Natalie. I hope they will help you.

What kind of side effects do you have Natalie? Can they give you something to counteract the side effects?

Sickness and dizziness and severe constipation.

I have anti nausea meds and they help but make me drowsy :rolleyespink:

The dizziness and the feeling of not being quite with it is a weird one and the constipation is horrific I have to take constant laxatives and control my diet and I still only go 1-2 a week sorry for the TMI

Natalie - there are no word to express how sorry I am that you are having to go through all this. I guess all I can offer is support whenever you need it and a big cyber ((((((((((((hug))))))))))))).

Me too, Natalie. I sure wish I had some magic fairy dust that would help. Please know you are always in my prayers.

Thanks so much guys it means a lot to have this place to come and express how I am feeling it is so hard at home sometimes as I hate putting it on my family as they have been through so much too and I can imagine they just wish I would have some good days xxx

Hi Natalie - great to hear from you. Sorry that darn knee is still not right! But it sounds like you will have plenty of distraction soon. Good luck with your training and checks. I'll bet you'll be the star volunteer!

Hi, Natalie....I know you've been busy getting the kids ready for back-to-school, but it's great to have an update on how you're doing. Now, my dear.....a little "me time." I know you're going to enjoy your upcoming training and new job. I'm praying your knee allows you peace to have that enjoyment! Stay determined!!!
