Thank you Zjrog I will speak to him about I think writing down his feelings may be easier than talking about them too.

I hope your wife is doing ok xx

Excellent idea, Natalie!

It certainly is!!!

Then you give him a hug, and then recovery starts. :wubroses:

We are all cavemen at heart, us men are very good at fighting off sabre-toothed tigers at the cave entrance, but he can't find anything to fight, so he's gone to the back of the cave desperately searching for answers.

There aren't any answers, sadly, so he'll have to make do with love

Tykey, I do love your insight into the male of the species! Certainly good to have you here!

Natalie - hope today is a bit better!

Oh Nat, i am so sorry.
I'm glad you booked the trip as we all need to ge away from our troubles sometimes, though we usuallu have to take ours with us at least we can be distracted for short periods...
Kids are very flexable in they adapt to stuff better than we do. They will do fine.Life throws curveballs at us all the time. Sometimes we can catch them, and sometimes we get hit by them...
We just need to deal. There is no other choice really. At least your Doc levelled with you. False hope is never a good thing. Better to just deal with the reality head on and re-adjust your life to something livable. Not what we planned, of course, but what has been planned for us.
Best to you.

Thanks so much guys xxxxx

Today has been a bad pain day so I have just taken a step back and rested hubby has been for a pint with a few friends not sure if he talked about anything but he seems more relaxed (that could well just be the beer!:th_heehee:)

Having the kids off school for the summer is a great distraction and we have things coming up for this week for my son's birthday.

Glad Scott got out for a bit w/ the guys! What are you doing for your son's bday??

xoxo,
Linda

Hi, Natalie. I have missed you so much on the forum, and I'm so sorry about your latest news. I have been sick the past few weeks and so I missed the beginning of your thread.

So glad you will have a break away with your hubby for a bit. Please know that you will both be in my thoughts and prayers. You will find brighter days ahead - you are such a sweetie and one very determined young lady!! I offer you my support and friendship and cyber hugs whenever you feel the need. Take care and God Bless.

Maggie

Natalie,

I am so sorry to hear about your news! I am catching up on a lot posts and I was saddened to hear about the news.

You are a very strong woman though, and you have a great family to support you.

Hopefully the pain management doctor will be able to help you!

Got some news to share guys.....

I decided after hearing the news last week that I needed to do something with myself to get me out a few hours a week so I emailed some local charities and our local hospital about volunteer work and I have received a few emails back from the hospital today asking if I would like to come in for an interview and help out on wards with patients who have had surgeries I am so excited but nervous too of course so it's next Wednesday my interview :)
