Things are going pretty well for me, Natalie. I've been very busy helping a very sick friend. She is finally starting to get better, so I'm happy about that!

So I only got 3 nights of some sleep from the new meds past night was just as hellish as usual. The pain is just too strong.

Hope you are all doing well and looking forward to the weekend xx

It's going to rain on and off all w/e here in Yankee-ville. I think you guys in GB are sort of used to that...
I can't wait for you to send the pictures to Jo and Dr. Maale.
There has to be something we can do!!!
Praying for sleep for you.
What a great hubby you have. Mine is like that too!
xx

 here's to good husbands Sandy :)

Rain is forecast here too my brother and his family are coming for the week but I've asked if they can stay with my other brother this time as I'm not up to house guests at the moment we will still see them most days though.
Ill be happy when the scans arrive and we can get the ball rolling!
Had an awful day so fingers crossed for sleep if this knee locks one more time I fear it will stay that way!

Been out in my wheelchair today I hate the blooming thing but have no choice if I want to spend some time with my family. We were only out a few hours and I was only in the chair for an hour or so but my knee is throbbing from being in a sitting position if my leg isn't elevated my knee gets so angry!!

Aww, poor wheelie! :boohoo: Can't you see it as a friend that helps you be in your family's world?

I will try I promise it's not so much the wheelie I hate more the fact I can't walk and have to be pushed around I'd much rather be able to chase the ducks with my neice and hold her hand while skipping through the crunchy leaves :)
One day I hope....

:console2: I'm wishing for fast mail service on those image for you.

Same here sweetheart!!! You deserve a second look from Dr Maale!!

I will be praying for you. You deserve answers, and I sure wish you were pain free and able to move more. This knee replacement is supposed to be the start of a better quality of life. We will help you all we can to help get you sorted out. :friends:

I'm sat here building up the courage to ring my surgeons secretary again.

I'm hoping she will be able to arrange for me to we another consultant at the hospital for my results and some advice.

Josephine is there any other consultants you know at Wrightington?

Yes she scares me she's so short tempered and grumpy!

I've just rang and she says she is still waiting to hear back from the registrar regarding the re report of the MRI scan.I asked her if I could see another consultant and she said I'm trying to find that out too and ill get back to you when I hear something. Its been over a week now! :groan:

Thanks for the list Mr Peter Kay is one of the ones I was looking at I have seen him on the wards he seems so nice :)

Why is this taking so long Nat?
Are they sending your scans by carrier pigeon?
so sorry you are in such pain.
I am finally geting on top of mine with the help of my Pain Management guy.
Do you have such clinics in GB?
xx

The scans are meant to be on the way to my house they should arrive in the next few days :)

but as for the scan being re reported on and me getting the results from a doctor I've no idea what's happening!!I don't know why it takes so long for the scan to be looked at again and someone to tell me if the disease is evident or if its scar tissue.I think they are just trying to fob me off for as long as possible and then maybe they won't have to find me a different doctor to see as mine will be back from Australia!!
Glad Pain Management is working for you I see a team here they've exhausted all options though :(

So as I said on Sonjas thread Ive had another fall which is so frustrating it really is :(

I've spoken to Mr Porters secretary today and she said a meeting as been arranged with him the radiologist consultant and registrars for the 22nd October to discuss my case and what they are going to do next and the results of the scans.
So I won't know anymore until my appointment 2nd November.
I rang patient liaison service to see if they could help and they rang around for me and got the same information she just said because it was such a complex case it could only be dealt with by a specialist consultant and if I was referred to another one now it would take as long as waiting to see my own.
