I've not had any sleep for 24 hours I'm in a bit of a mess today I spent a lot of the night on the Internet trying to find some answers to my pain,when I finally dropped off at 8am my neighbours started drilling :( So I've been reading for the last few hours I have to say I feel very on edge and anxious today :hairpulling:
 
Of course you are on edge! No sleep does that. Just take things slow and easy Natalie. How about some mindless television. Hope you are getting some rest!

I don't know either, Natalie, but I have a lot of faith that things can work out sometimes when we least expect it. The first step will be to get the images and whatever other documentation you can get to Dr. Maale. Step 2 would be to find out if he would accept your case. Step 3 would be to find out the cost for his services and a trip here. THEN we'll worry about how to get it done.

My surgeon is going Australia for 6 weeks he won't even be at my appointment on 19th October I'm having a bit of a meltdown hubby is taking me to see my GP
 
Oh NO! That's really depressing, isn't it? I can feel how you are feeling - the surgeon who is doing my shoulders was supposed to be doing them in July. But when I rang to find out why I'd had no date, his sec said he was fully booked for July and was going to be away all of August, back on 3rd September. So I left her alone all of August and phoned last week only to be told he was on holiday! I said "What again? He's only just come back".Not, it seems. He is now away all of September! However, I did get a provisional date for the 26th November! A whole year since we both agreed I need this to be done! Only good news was that she is going to see if she can bump me up to an earlier date!

I'm not sure what to do next as well as that they won't release the MRI until its Ben reported on correctly?!
 
So I saw my GP well a locum and he's concerned I may have an impacted bowel! :groan: so I've been ordered to take Movicol daily.He wanted me to go on anti depressants but I don't feel I'm depressed just exhausted and in a hell of a lot of pain.
He wants me to try Mirtazapine for sleep and has insisted on upping my Fentanyl because I'm taking such a large amount of Morphine he wants to try and reduce that.
 
Anything is worth a try to see if you can find something to help you sleep. I think you made a wise choice about the anti-depressants, though.
 
Thanks Jamie I don't think I'm depressed just going through a rough patch.

Do you think it's right that they can't release the MRI scan until its been re reported on?

I know things are different in the UK, but here in the US I have the Dr. requesting the MRI to have them send direct to me a copy of the report. I also ask for a copy (CD) of the MRI itself and walk out after the scan with it in my hand. To me it sounds like someone is giving you the real run around. By any chance do any of these DRs. know you want to send these things off to Dr. Maale ? What is the point in going to the appointment if the Dr is not even going to be there? i am sure if you could just get a copy of the MRI and send that and any other info you have ti Dr. Maale he would be able t read them himself and figure out what was going on.
 
I Agee with karmigirl..it sounds like you are getting the run around! Are they just too lazy to get your test results for you? This has got to be the most frustrating thing in the world for you right now. You deserve more consideration.. And more answers! Wish there was something we could do to get them off their bums!
 
I don't know what the procedures are in Great Britain. Let me ask Josephine.
