I will try and put together as much as I can from my GP as he is a fab man and will help me as much as I can but I'm not sure I'll be able to get the scans until my appointment.
 
Hi Natalie,

Just thinking out loud here. I thought New Zealand law was based on UK law. I had ultrasound a week or so ago, paid $20 extra and walked out with a CD of all the images. I've done it before for MRI scan images. Never had to wait for report to be written nor for consultation with referring specialist/doctor. But it was at a private radiology clinic not at the public hospital - maybe that makes the difference.

Please keep pushing, shouting, screaming, crying etc to get what you want.
 
Natalie---do you have a senior center type of thing in UK? Ours here has a list of volunteers who will drive you to the hospital. How about the Ladies Assn at your church? We do all kinds of stuff like that for one another in our church.

Natalie, how about asking a friend and then paying for lunch and gas? When I was dependent on others, I insisted on paying forgas and lunch,and we had time to have some fun while we were out. Make it a day out with a friend. :happydance:

Hey Sonja they would love to help but they all work ridiculous hours at the same place as my husband and don't have time off in the week.My step dad won't take me,my sister has too much going on with her babies my little brother has just started full,time work.
It just seems all the folk who could take me always have excuses so I've stopped asking :(
I've looked into public transport and its a nightmare!My big brother said he would take me any day but he lives 3 hours from me bless him xx

Well this is the time to accept Big brothers generous offer! This isn't just for "fun" this is something that could change the course of your life and the lives of everyone who love you! If he is willing, say YES and don't worry about it. I live 2 and 1/2 hors from Mom and she comes here, or I go there at the drop of a hat! Please Nat, let big brother take care of you! :console2:

I know but I hate putting on people :(

I will phone radiology Monday morning and see if they can help it will be a miracle if Dr Maale could help me one day xx
 
Let me ask you this Nat; if the situation were reversed and your big brother needed help, and you had transportation, would you do it for him? :)

Well then, let him do this for you! It is not a burden for those who love you and he has already volunteered! The two of you can catch up on things while going back and forth, and assure him that if he ever needs you, you will find a way to be there for him! This is not the time to worry about "burdening" someone! He volunteered! Please take him up on it.

I care about you Nat, and your consultant is on holiday until November! Much too long for you to continue suffering! Let us help you and see what amazing stuff starts to transpire! It's amazing what God can do if you let him. :angel:

I rang him this morning and unfortunately he can't have a day off in the week for the next month!Typical eh?!
On a brighter note the local hospital are happy to help me and are going to get the results sent to their system and I can go get a copy it's a 10 minute bus ride :)
 
You keep pushing for what you need, Nat---you deserve to be paid attention to and to get some answers and to finally be able to get some relief. Very decent of your local hospital to be helpful when you need it so. We are out here cheering you on

Natalie....stay strong. You mustn't let any of this get to you. I know it can be difficult since you've been trying to get things done and you have been through so much! But I do believe there is someone out there who will help you and you must keep trying.

How are the children??? Is school starting soon? The photos you posted of them in the past were always so darling. If you had any more to share, I'd love to see them.

They go back on the 13th September my eldest starts 2 very important years of her school life so she's quite nervous my youngest is just looking forward to getting back! I will find some pictures :) How are you doing?
 
I'm doing pretty well. We've had a rough summer this year....heat, drought, and friends with problems. These things happen sometimes!
