I hope that there is some improvement!

Just a quick update his

I'm doing pretty much the same the red area is slightly bigger and the pain is just as bad.

Doctor is ringing tomorrow so will see what he says.

Hope you are all doing ok x

I'm waiting for the orthopaedic doctor from the hospital to ring me back to see when he can see me.

Doctor really isn't happy with the fluid on my knee

I went on Friday Jo to see a orthopaedic doctor at my local hospital. They did blood tests x rays and had a good feel of it etc.

His conclusion was that the knee has been bleeding inside hence the red marks on my knee, the knee feels unstable and he said it is moving quite a bit.The X Ray showed some evidence of what could be SC but also scar tissue he was really worried about it and has bandaged it up and has given me a brace to wear.He wants me to see my own surgeon ASAP but guess what it's not as easy as that!

The pain is so intense :( I've been at a caravan with family over the weekend and we borrowed a wheelchair and it was so much easier than hopping arOund on crutches in agony.

So now it's another waiting game and I can't even get around the house do any jobs etc :(

Natalie, you have my heart and my prayers. I know this must seem like a never-ending battle for you! Please know you have our support in whatever way we can help as you keep the good fight to get to the bottom of it all.

Thanks Jamie.

He was very kind the doctor I saw and was so understanding about my frustrations he said the Synovitis pain is the worst and the SC disease is a horrible thing and he wishes they could find a way to eradicate it.He said that having a replacement where I would never be able to bend it again would be an idea but an extreme one :(
He was quite convinced that my age was going against me too :(

Hi Natalie
I do hope you get your knee issues sorted and get some answers, you have certainly had your share of issues - I really do feel for you and wish you all the best. My fingers are crossed for you.

Natalie,

I am going to be praying for you like crazy! you need that new knee! That might help you tremendously!:friends:

Hi guys I wondered if any of you could help I am in so much pain it gets worse every day ad I am taking so much medication here is a brief rundown

Paracetemol every 4 hrs
2 x 20mg Bu Trans patches
10ml of 10mg Oramorph every 2 hours

This doesn't take the pain away it eases it sometimes other times I am in pain constantly today being one of those days.
I use heat and ice too,I've not slept for more than 2 hours at a time for 2 weeks and I feel like a zombie now :(

Sorry for moaning but thankyou for listening xxx @Josephine:

Hi Natalie, I am so sorry you are suffering so! I really can't advise on your meds but please know my thoughts are with you my friend. I tagged Jo so she will see your post and respond quickly.

Hang in there!

I'm doing just fine - thanks Natalie. This whole journey has just not been fair on you. Stay strong - lots of Smarties supporting you!

I know it's been a bit rubbish :( Glad to have so much support from here :)

My family have been great too but it's taking it's toll on my husband he's running aroun looking after us as well as doing 50 hour working weeks.

Natalie....I'm so sorry to hear you're hurting. I wish I had an answer for you, but I think this is going to be a "Jo question." You are in my prayers. And give that sweet hubby of yours an extra hug. He has been a rock for you through all this....such a great guy!!! @Josephine:

Honestly I wish I had a magic solution to offer but I don't. Have you got an appointment to see Mr Porter yet?

I'm thinking that what that doctor suggested might not be so outrageous as it seems. What he was referring to is a fusion which Audrey (wanttoride) has just had. You might do worse than to read her story KNEE FUSION - I need information!!! as it explains a lot more than I could in one post.

One thing I've noticed while reading the posts: no matter how much they hurt or if recovery isn't going well or if everything is going better than scheduled, BoneSmarties do take the time to care about other members. The most recent is in this thread. Felt a tug when Natalie said to Jaycee "hope you're doing OK.". (of course, I never know the back story. Just going by what I read. )

Natalie, I'm sorry about your problems. I hope something will be able to help you very soon with the pain and give you a plan to take care of your situation.

Hugs to you AND to your wonderful hubby.
