THR Hawai'i Healing Hipster

I think I slept most of the day (maybe Saturday), Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday. :zzz: I might just keep the trend going. I have been taking photos of my incision almost every day. I feel like I cannot see it clearly :flabber: & the photos help. I can also see my progress in healing. :yes!:Coffee is brewing. :mcoffee: I am awake for about an hour and then I am off to heal as I sleep. :sleep: I found a photo to post last night. :yawn: The glue shines and distorts the photos. Even without the flash.:SUNsmile: DH says its about 3 3/4" in total. :egypdance:

So how is the Hawaii Healing Hipster doing today?
I see you've been doing a lot of this :sleeep: Great news as our body does it's best healing then.
Hoping log leg is gone. I think our @danabanana had a stubborn log leg too.
I'll bet you're snoozing away while your curtains are blowing in breeze, the weather is sunny, balmy....perfect!
Lucky you....a beautiful place for recovery. Hope your day is great.
@AgilityDog

Thank you , @Layla . Ceiling fans going and kitchen window is open. Good call. I'm ready for another nap. :sleeep:

I think log leg is gone. :chinstroke: but I don't want to say that too loudly. Love a cane! The kitchen is 22 short steps from the bedroom. I practice, but don't 'need' it in the house. We don't have a recliner. I slept only one or two nights on the sofa. Otherwise I have slept in my own bed. We have a sleep number. So I can adjust to my moods. (We also took the air out & brought it to Hawai'i from the mainland.) Hope your day is great too. Aloha!:wave:

:hi: @AgilityDog
I'll bet a Sleep Number bed would be great for recovery. It your not comfortable
with your regular sleep number you can adjust. Cool!

Bye-bye log leg.....go weigh someone else down :yes!:
Healing hugs and well wishes! :flwrysmile:

@AgilityDog

Happy to hear you’re snoozing in comfort. I have a sleep number bed too. So comfy. The picture @Layla painted about curtains blowing in warm breeze sounds lovely.

My bf and I may journey to Hawaii next year or so. It’s a long flight for us, I’m not sure how willing he is unless we stay 2 weeks. That’s a great option!!

Rest up, feel better.

Janet

Thanks @newhip126 . If you are flying from the East Coast of the Mainland USA, it is an easier trip if you can break it up. I stopped over in Washington state for a couple of days, on my last trip here, and the change in time was easy. Be adventurous! Perhaps you have family or friends on the West coast and they need a short visit from you

Incision looks good...hope you have a super healing day:loveshwr:

You are still at such early days...but boy you will be happy as a mule eating briars before you know it.
Keep it slow.
You're doing great !:roseshwr:

We got to go to Maui. I loved it!!!! The weather, the ocean and the people- I would go back in a heartbeat.

I haven't been to any other island yet. I have a friend on Maui so she can tell us where to go. :wave: I'm not quite ready yet. I'm thinking a pair of hiking sticks would be nice. :hiking:I think it would help to have a whole body work out. And make climbing easier, too.:climb:

There's some aches in muscles that come from practicing a better gait, so be prepared and don't worry that it is hip related. Heel toe and stand up straight with shoulders back, as Layla prompts new post-op walkers.:wave:

Hi @AgilityDog
Hope you're doing well and all is progressing nicely.
A great weekend to you in beautiful Hawaii!

Good job lady. You are going to get better and better.
Hope your weekend is sweet!

Aaawwww. That's sweet. Are you granny, grandma, Nana, or?..
