Bilateral THR Gretel post op<

It was still pretty tough at two months, poor Gretel. I was getting on with a cane...which was always hard for me to figure...which side, etc. I did have a "better" leg as I suspect you do.
I was going and doing...actually back to work part time...but a walk from parking lot into office warranted a sit down.
Small spurts more often felt like the gist of it.
Do check on back thing. But remember how ratchedy we got before surgery. Got alot of retraining to do after long time of compensating.
Do hope you feel better soon. Might actually need to cool out for day or two.
Sending magic healing mojo your way...:hugzz:

I'm not saying it didn't improve before then, but I was 4 months or before I actually thought I was going to BE better.
Know that everyone is different but still super early for you. Reading all the one hip wonder posts...take their progress and figure by TWO!!!
Is going to get better...:roseshwr:

I'm going to start doing more of that myself.
Hope it helps you, Gretel.
Hope your day is better !

Been thinking how you might be. I try to be honest even if it's not exactly what you might feel up to hearing.
Just know it will be better month by month.
I still have residual stuff...small stuff. Still feel all worth it.

Ahhh Gretel swndingbyou a huge hug, I hope when you read this you would have had your massage and feeling much better!
As MammaT said a little stretching goes a long way especially got your back.
I try and go for a walk every day however at the weekend I didn't go at all and found my hip and back felt worse for not moving (lazing on the couch for most of weekend ;•0 ) so it's back to getting moving today!
Keep your Pecker up honey you are doing amazing well, a bunch of flowers to make you smile :0)

Thanks Girls :) I do appreciate all the support. My back has benefited from the physio visit yesterday and my mood is definitely much improved. I borrowed a mobility scooter at the shops today and got some Christmas shopping done. That was fun between shops but I managed to bump into lots of things in the shops! I didn’t run anyone over though so I’m taking it as a success lol

Glad your spirits are lifted some. Glad you are getting some help with your back ...hope today is a Good Day.

WATCH OUT!....Here comes Gretel on a motorized scooter.
I hope bumping into "lots of things" gave you some giggles.
As long as no one was hurt, or anything destroyed.
I got a visual of a woman who's felt cooped up, was finally freed and on a wild scooter ride,
with people scattering to get out of her way :rotfl:
I hope you had fun!!
@Gretel

:wow: Its now OVER two months already!
Seems like yesterday that the Fab Four were prepping.
Probably doesn't feel that way to you @Gretel
You've come so far and are doing so well, a true inspiration.
Now you just need to get that scooter driving down because the shops
will only continue to get busier with Christmas fast approaching....We can't have casualties :heehee:
Hope you have a good one!

I hate to say this :heehee: but I think your husband is probably right. I bet you do a lot of walking around this house each day. I really never did go for many walks as I live on a country road with lots of farm trucks going by all day so I’m not too crazy about walking here. However, I’m sure I put on some distance puttering around the house and I have ended up just fine. Now I can go for walks and don’t tire before my husband does and he didn’t have any replacements. I personally think just being on your feet counts as something even though you can’t calculate the distance.

I don’t think @Mojo333 saw your tag so I will tag her again @Gretel . You will get there but remember patience.

Thanks @GrannyC. Everything but walking is so much better. When I’m on my feet it gets very tight and stiff in my thighs and that goes down to my knees. It worsens then my lower back starts to feel very tired then hurt.
