Thanks @GrannyC .
You know you were instrumental in talking me off a few cliffs really on.
Don't know how my signature got off like that. Checking now.
X-ray's confirmed TWO bionic hips
Sorry you are having any pain. Before hip issues I had a terrible attack that was my SI joint. I ended up in emergency. One of the clues to that hell, as I recall, was an inabilty to go up stairs.is that happening?
@Iabanan I do have some difficulty with that...the doctor did some pushing in places on lower back that wasn't painful...ruling out something?
Said definitely my sacrum is where I identified the pain. What did you do?
What say you of chiropractors?
Any results from blood tests or relief from itching? Been thinking of you.
Hi @Mojo333 I'm just catching up on your news and happy to hear your OS appointment went so well. I had SI joint cyst formation that showed on my MRI in 2012 when I had my hips looked at. I too occasionally have some back area pain and think it stems from that. I wish you well. Cheryl
@Mojo333 This is the wrong time of year to attempt to lose weight. Captain Obvious just told me that. Of course, if we didn't have leftover Halloween candy....
A good chiropractor has been a godsend for me. Broke my back at 16 and always had trouble until I started seeing a chiropractor. It would get to where I could barely move. Siatic pain in left hip, left leg would go numb. Then he would put me back into alignment. Almost instant relief.Ask friends for recommendations
I've always been nervous about what some have called "bone-crackers"
I'm warming up to the idea... Gone again, as many have your same experience. My OS seemed ambivalent when I asked if he thought I should try it...but then added his father swore by his.
@cpollock Thanks for that tidbit. It sounds feasible to me. Wonder what they suggest to do about it?
I'm so glad to hear from you. Hope all is well with you.
I'm not sure what can be done with SI joints, maybe fuse it but I don't think it moves a lot. There are chiropractors that use an actuator tool instead of twisting you around. I've gone to both types over the years and prefer the actuator method. I haven't been though since my surgery. Maybe ask your OS or Josephine if it's ok to go now. I wish you well @Mojo333. Cheryl
Hey all. Been super busy and super tired. @MyAussieGirl...first get shoes see if that helps...then make chiropractor appointment and see what they say.
Mostly all is okay. Been walking so much at work my thighs are sore but not terrible at all. Just have to find time to rest.
Spoke to Rotary club at 7 am yesterday morning (who has breakfast meetings?, duh...business men.) so haven't been on in few days. Thank goodness it's Friday!
Thanks @Gretel. I can't wait for you to be 6 months out. YOU WILL be so glad you had this done.
Sorry you are still struggling, but is all normal and TEMPORARY.
Guessing weather is better there?
Australia is on my bucket list. My step sister has lived in New Zealand for the last 35 years. Would love to go there too.
So beautiful...lucky you!
Hi @Mojo333 I hope you are taking it easy this weekend and that Vitamin D is doing you some good.
I replied to you on my thread earlier but it hasn’t gone live and is saying waiting for approval. I’ve not had this before. I don’t think I said anything suspect that might get flagged
C'mon @Alfie888
Did you say a naughty word....or three? I promise I won't tell....
Haha! That's happened to me before also, just some little glitch in the system.
I think the resident tech todo10 can help if you continue to have a problem.
Hope you have a nice weekend.....you too Mojo since I butt in, hijacking your thread.
