@plnppl Thank you, it is great. It started by that tight band feeling suddenly leaving yesterday. Then sleep! This morning he had a little stiffness, but not the tight band feeling.

@H2OPoloMom shot and a half (about 4 oz. sipped) bourbon let him sleep about 4 hours. Believe me we have tried about everything. Now he was off pain meds for a few days before he did the bourbon.

I found nsaids helped the inflammation from my RA but the 1,000 mg of acetaminophen works pretty well for pain. I can't take nsaids anymore b/c i developed an ulcer (after years of taking high doses-- under doc's supervision-- for years).

@plnppl You don't need to quote a post every time to reply to it, so please don't do that.
Just scoot on down to the bottom of the page and start typing!
Especially don't quote a post and then post it without any additional message!

@plnppl, I don't think Josephine realized that you typed your answers into her quoted message. It threw me off when I first saw it too. I hope you are doing well and that your knee has calmed down some. I did the same thing the other day, and as soon as I was fully standing, i thought to myself, "uh oh, that's not good." It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but sometimes, you just don't know.

Yes thanks my knees gave both calmed down now after lots of rest and ice and painkillers. They are behaving really well today. I see the surgeon in a little while and I think he will be very happy! We had a warmer day yesterday and it was amazing how much better both knees felt. I definitely see light at the end of the tunnel!

@plnppl don't know if I told you how to tag someone to get their attention or not (sometimes I think I am sleep typing as my hubby's lack of sleep these last weeks has rubbed off on me) If you want to get someones attention you just put an '@' right in front of their name. make sure you spell their name exactly as it is under their avatar. If done right when you post it their name will turn blue. That will send them an allert that you are looking for them.
Glad your knees are doing better. Celebrate each small victory!

Hi @H2OPoloMom - just stopping by to say hello. How are you doing? Sorry t hear about the swelling and the pain you have been going through.
Sending you good wishes and healing thoughts your way!

@tiredwife thanks for that... I saw the surgeon this afternoon and have now been cleared for driving. Ecstatic! Very tired after the trip to the city and back again! The surgeon was really happy with my progress and I feel like things are on the improve!

So excited for you @plnppl to be able to drive again! It's such a good feeling when we can actually feel our progress. I have an appt with my doc today too and PT right after. I'm hoping that it's not too much all at once, and am keeping my fingers crossed.

I could not get comfortable last night at all. I even sent my daughter to the store to get me some solarcaine (it's a topical spray with lidocaine). Between all the icing (even with a barrier) and my knee getting hot after activity, my skin is so sensitive! It felt so good! Cooled my skin down and made it less sensitive.

@plnppl Glad things are going good. I don't think the doctor ever said to my husband to drive, my husband just desided he was off meds and it was his left so he would drive!

@H2OPoloMom sorry to hear that you were so uncomfortable but glad to hear that the spray helped a bit! It is awful when you just can't get comfortable. What did your doctor say when you saw him? Is he happy with your progress? Yes I am over the moon that I am cleared to drive, however, the application of It might be another issue. The last time I drove at 4 weeks and it was too soon and quite painful so I plan on doing a short test tomorrow to see how I go. I am sure that as it has been longer this time around that It will be fine! Hoping that you have a better night tonight!
