TKR From 30 - 90 rom and wanting more

I did ask my family dr for muscle relaxers Tuesday . I told her I had asked ortho almost two months ago that his nurse said not yet. Then I left Drs. Without the prescription , she did almost nothing too . As I was to have a Cardiologists appointment made she didn't even listen to heart or lungs . I should call Monday and remind them about the cardiologists. As the surgeons office told me about the enlarged arota day before surgery . I knew I had a heart murmur.
I am looking at the knee surgeries you have had . Seems extensive . How are you doing ?
 
Sorry to hear how frustrating it is with your Doctors. Hope this week is better.

Finally today I have a positive report . I found out I am able to go down steps the proper way if I use my left foot as lead . Hooray ! All the struggling frustration trying to do steps right leg first . I had to throw my body to do that and was not getting a good bend . Now to remind myself left leg leads . Perhaps I had my Christmas miracle :)

I called another ortho. Office the one that operated on my husband wrist in October. I will be making the switch if my Dr signs off on it . I kind of feel bad not getting to explain my Dr. But I never get to see him to discuss anything anyways . Not sure how I would reach him . When I called last week and voiced my concerns and complaints . They had the nurse that I asked not to deal with call me back . That irrated me further.
 
Looks like things are looking up, good luck with the new ortho.
Our bodies do the healing, starting to sound like everything is going to turn out OK.

I can not thank you enough for being here for me . I have been such a downer . I went into this thinking I would do so well . I really was disappointed when my dr said 99 was it I thought I was going to be able run not just walk . I will accept that walking without the huge gimp is pretty nice . I have to keep reminding myself to use left foot to do stairs I have a ton of retraining my brain and body to do . Thanks for being so fabulous. I pray you have a great report . You have been through so much . You deserve some good news.
 
All set met with new orthopedic surgeon he agreed to a see me. I feel a little bad leaving my other Dr and his pa but his staff was not tolerable. Looking to new start with new Dr.

@ Pumpkin Did get Valium for muscle relaxers that is what my dr said works best. After the lecture on how they can be addictive . I have never had a problem with pills , alcohol . Food yes :) But Drs annoy me on the speeches . They know my history I lived with pain since car accident in 1979 it did not stop my life. I do feel I am having trouble with pain since this surgery even before . I can not wait to be pain free . Seems the day should be here.

Dang rough day for pain so sick of saying this . My GP fears infection says if it gets worse go to er immediately . I just feel my pain was not managed adequately post op and have been having trouble since . Tired of this tired of feeling negative . Can not wait until I feel pain free days .
 
You should call your new OS and see what they think about your knee being warm. Be sure to keep following the Manta: Rest, Ice, Elevate, and Medicate on schedule.

Thanks Pumpkin. I kind of thought this far out four month mark . I didn't need to ice and elevate . As far as medicate Drs think I do not need anything except a couple norco 5/325 . I do not care for the low dose norco . I go to new ortho Jan. 10th.

@Josephine @Jamie Administrators @Orthodoc And All . I had a small discharge from my incision site . I had itching tonight like crazy out of control . I had some swelling minimal or about same as has been . My scar area had keloids really bad that tiny pinpoint spot that looked like white mold . It was the scab . Odd I know . Anyways right below that I kind of was squeezing and this teeny tiny hole had pus come out thick white gross. Scared me to death I squeezed and just a tad more came out . I tried peroxide not sure if that was poor choice but nothing else came out at all . The spot is so small, smaller than a pencil tip . I have a few dark spots that look like the internal stitches . Keep in my mind my surgery was Sept. 5th. I am really unnerved by this . I had applied the Epsom salt with cloth myGeneral-partitioner had told me to do months ago .is how I came to observe all this . @Pumpkln @tmwillia

Scary to have this happen. You are going to have to call your OS or primary, someone should look at it.
I hope it is a superficial infection.
If it is increasingly red,swollen, hot, and painful you may want to go to the ER.
 
I always seem to panic first always have been this way . I squeezed and at the end it was kind of just like a teeny piece of dry skin . No more discharge the pus like junk scared the stuff out of me . My husband says it was like a zit . Of course he was sleeping did not even see it but knows all . The panic was heightened by message my GP office left last week when I called for pain meds . Message said she was fearing the pain was masking an infection and to watch it or go to Er . It seems better .
 
Yes Pumpkin. I def. will . I prob will not sleep much tonight . It worked me up pretty badly . Thank you for your support and advice . How are you doing ?
