I take my stress out on other things, walking, punching pillows etc. I rarely let it get to the point where I blow up.
My lads are disappointed for me as well, they're sick of seeing me hobble around because of the pain in the left :(
I've got a small bruise on right hip now, walked into the worktop corner last night and boy did it hurt :/

I hit a countertop right on my hip just yesterday...sensitive still AND OW!
We must be more careful.
Do they have you on any kind of cancellation list?

No, not on any list. The guy that phoned with the cancellation said as soon as he has a date, I'll have it.
I see it as a bit more time to mentally prepare myself more for what's to happen.
Yes, it's a nuisance but it could happen to any of us. I'm not the most patient person but it's something we have to do whether we like it or not.
I also know that even though I've had to wait a bit longer than planned, the pain will soon be gone and it's that thought that's keeping me sane.

I have my one year anniversary appt with the OS today. I'm kind of nervous.
I think it's because I have a new OS. The one who did my surgery is no longer with the group.
Had I known that he'd be leaving. I'd have chosen another. Oh well....life goes on.

A little under 3 weeks, gives me time to yet again, sort the house, prep the lads and mentally prepare.
My bag is staying packed, had it done in advance for the surgery that got cancelled.
A quiet weekend is in order I think.

Hey all, just a quick update.

No letter of cancellation so it looks like my surgery is going ahead :D T-8 days and counting!!
House is ready, I'm ready, c'mon - lets get this rodeo over with already!
Any questions I have are written down and in my bag ready to go. Poor hubby is more nervous than I am and with good reason, he's worried the same thing'll happen.
I have more trust in my surgeon that I have now than the last one I had.

Hope everyone is healing well and happy.

P.S @Mojo333 you had your surgery on my late fathers birthday, I only just noticed the date in your signature

Yes, July 19th Mojo, almost a year since my last surgery.

Layla, I'm more than ready for this to be over with. I'm pacing the floor with impatience hehe.
Having a great week Layla, out in the garden moving planters and pots. My dads 3 handmade planters taking pride of place by the front door.

Yes it's the left this time round Mojo

It's been 10 years since I lost him and I miss him every single day.
I find myself doing things the way he would have done them, same goes for my mum even though she's only been gone 7 months.

Planters hold a fair few memories, mainly of me and my dad cussing when we dropped a stone or 4 on our feet....ouch!
Only a week to go and I'll be on the other side - again!!

Peace!! What on Earth is that Layla??
I'm forever busy. I can clean and tidy and in 5 minutes it looks like a bomb site again!!
I miss them everyday and I talk to them, keeps me sane and grounded. My way of coping I suppose.
My dad was a stonemason by trade and he was going to train me up as an apprentice dry stone waller, until he tried blinding himself with a piece of slate.....

I don't know who's more excited, me or you and Mojo

@Layla it was his own fault for not wearing safety goggles. He came in, said he had something in his eye and when we looked I turned and said hospital now! He didn't realise how bad it was until they took it out.
It's not so much organized chaos as just plain chaos constantly, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Left hip has been playing up something rotten the last few days, snapping and popping, very painful.
To top it off, I've pulled both shoulders so they hurt like mad as well.....

@Mojo333 don't go doing yourself an injury with all that dancing around!!
