THR Double hippy happy<

This is the part I think most of us hate, waiting for that all important date.
The sooner the better Layla, it threatened to give out on me completely, but me being me carried on with what I was doing. I refuse to let it stop me doing activities I enjoy.
As if I didn't have enough to cope with, my 17yr old has gone and broken his thumb in 3 places and sustained nerve damage.

My daughter is having a minor surgery Tuesday.
More gray hairs...it's all their fault.

So sorry he hurt himself so badly.

Can you believe he broke it swimming?!?!?
3 small breaks down the length of his thumb, given a brace to wear for 3 weeks.
In other news, right hip has settled down after the niggle earlier on, left is of course still being a pain.

I just received my surgery date, 28th june!!
Time to count down the days, get the house and lads prepped....

I know you've been anxiously waiting but when you get a date...it's like right now! No waiting.
You have 9 whole days to get all your men in caretaker mode again.

You will love having a matched set @SarahUK. Good luck with the house prep! That wore me out but was a life saver.

House prep is the easy bit, getting the lads motivated is the hard part
Not so much anxious @Layla as excited to finally get it over with.
Hopefully just a one night stay is needed and then I can get on with the important part of resting and doing as little as possible.
The mental preparation is probably the part that'll wear me down a bit a few days before surgery but that'll pass pretty quickly.

I will keep you all updated as time goes by

I'm pacing with impatience, I want this done and over with fast.
I'm certain that there'll be no problems like the last time but still a small niggling doubt that it could happen.
I think the hubby is more worried than I am, he just wants this to be over with as well.

All going well, I'm hoping to be home Friday evening and then the best bit starts - recovery

Surgery just got cancelled. I'm gutted to say the least.
I'll update as and when I get a new date.

Calmed down a bit since yesterday, still not overly happy they cancelled. Not their fault, theatre staffing problem.....
Back to the waiting game, I see it as another curve ball to deal with, not the end of the world but still annoying.

I certainly understand your disappointment. I'm sure it's frustrating.
You were so close! I hope it's rescheduled soon so you can get the relief you deserve.

It happens, just have to deal with it best I can and hope they sort another date out. No use moping about it and being miserable. It will get done eventually, I just have to be patient again.
