Just keep in mind that surgeons (especially Ortho's) LOVE to cut.
I'd try some of the more non-invasive procedures first, and insist on a hand specialist if you do ultimately do end up in surgery.
As for the knee, I'm with you. I have been kicked to the curb every time, I'd have a pity party, the dust myself off and try it again.
If you read my post, you will see after multiple opinions, I finally scored with someone to EXAMINE me and in that exam, determined what I already know. Something is wrong. We are now in process of working it up.
I had been begging someone to do this for the last year.
Keep on trying to get answers.
I know HMO's are restrictive but there has to be one or more OS that are in the system and may or may not know each other.
