Thanks Poppet, I have even done a postal vote in case it's raining on Polling day. Won't be back online until I come home from hospital as I don't want to tale my iPad in case it gets stolen.
Thanks again Poppet, now that's something you have got over me, can only crotchet a little. I am knitting a mitred square blanket atm and want to back it and crotchet and edge around, don't know how I will go. All crafts are very relaxing I think. I am taking needlework to do whilst waiting for my op to keep me stress free. Like the pins Tassie Ann
Good idea taking something detailed like needlework... What time is your surgery? wigmar
I am knitting a vest, a scarf and now crocheting a scarf... I have very arthritic fingers, can't clench a fist and the knitting is painful, but the crochet doesn't hurt at all... I am madly researching granny squares to make a big throw rug..
Hi Poppet, have you looked on Ravelry, they have lots of free patterns as well as ones you can purchase. Have to be at Hospital at 7am, Dr decides who is first, there are 4 of us, they don't start till 8.30, takes an hour but will be out for 1 1/2 hours according to the aneasthesist.
I have brought the August list forward so that you can easily see who your surgical buddies are.
WelcometoourlatestandallAugustHotShots
Feel free post your surgery date in this thread, and I will add you to my list. However, please start a thread of your own in the Pre-Op Hip Section to share this journey toward hip replacement and to chat with other members. Here's the link that gives you the instructions you need to do this: Starting a new thread and posting
Yes Poppet, first off the rank would be great as my hubby wants to wait around till I get out of surgery. Men don't do that well although it is going to be a wet day on Thursday. We have to baby lambs here to feed that he needs to get home to. One from triplets and one that mum didn't want. Sure I will cope, had staff giggling when I had my arthroscopy telling them about my cat and how he jumps on our bed in the middle of the night and has knackered my hubby. Lovely to have a break away, enjoy.
Hi Poppet, feeling a bit apprehensive tonight, have been 'running' to the toilet, the nurse said to make sure I wasn't constipated when I went in so I've fixed that up. Pretty much organised, just have to get a reasonable nights sleep, talk to you from the other side. Tassie Ann xx
