I endorse having two large gel packs--so one is always cold. I liked the cold machine at first, but after a few weeks found the gel packs more convenient.

Well, here I am again. Think the last time I posted, I was getting ready to go to Oklahoma to visit daughter and family for 2 weeks. I went and had great fun with the grandkids. Not easy keeping up with a 4 and 6 year old.

Two weeks after returning home, I had to take my Mom for testing and she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Since then we have been in the hospital with her surgery and recovery. Back home again. (She is doing much better)

Bottom line, the last thing I have had time to think about was my knee. Have not pampered it like I had been doing and feel there has been a little setback. See my OS next week for a normal scheduled appointment. So it is time to get back on the wagon with a little pampering of my new knee. Do not think I have lost any ROM but just a bit more pain than before I started traveling. Back to the ice and elevating. Got a new recumbent bike but managed to whack the knee on it while pedaling yesterday. Don't ask, Grace is NOT my middle name. Missed keeping up with everyone!

@bobolink 47 -- so sorry to read about your Mum. I wish her well. Pleased you had fun with the children. It won't take you long to get back into your routine. :)

I am laughing---last night I climbed onto my stationery bike and managed somehow, I will never know how to slip off the other side!!! no Grace here either.

Hope things can settle down for you a bit. I'm sorry about your mother and hope she's doing okay after surgery. Life can certainly get in the way of a perfect recovery routine sometimes! But it sounds like your knee did just fine.

I saw my OS yesterday and I do not have to see him until March of 2016 unless I have problems or want the left knee fixed. Think life needs to settle down a bit before I think of the left one.

Great news on you OS visit. Hope your mom is doing better and will keep you both in my prayers.

My Mom is back at the assisted living. My sister from Virginia is with her this week. I will be going down to take her for staple removal next Monday. She will see the Oncologist on July 1. They do not recommend chemo due to her age. Lots of running. Am having some tummy problems due to all the stress. This too shall pass!
