I'm so glad you are feeling good about this recovery. You deserve it to go well after your previous struggles.

I’ve had a couple people ask if my hip feels ‘artificial’. I can honestly say, no it really doesn’t! I guess that surprises me! How about y’all? Do you (or did you ever) feel like you have ‘after market parts’ in there? Or does it feel completely natural to you?

I was also surprised by how quickly my new hip felt "natural." In fact, it led me to (falsely) expect that my knees what feel that way too. Nope! As good and functional as they are, I think I will always be reminded that they are implants -- primarily when kneeling on the floor.

After 2 hip replacements (2019 & 2025), I can honestly say that I never think about them as anything other than "original equipment!"
