I have brought forward this month's list so that you can easily see who your surgical buddies are.

Feel free post your surgery date in this thread, and I will add you to the list. Start a thread of your own in the Pre-Op Knee Section to post comments and share your journey toward knee replacement. Here's the link that gives you the instructions you need to do this: Starting a new thread and posting

To start a new thread, hover your mouse over "Knee" on the blue line at the top of the page for the drop down menu. Click on either the "Pre Op" forum. On the upper right hand side under the "Joint Replacement Awareness Day" banner, you will see a black rectangle with the words "Post New Thread" in white. Click on this, enter whatever title you want for your thread, but do try to keep it short and sweet, then tab down to the dialogue box and start typing your post which can be as long as you need for it to be. By starting your own thread, you and your questions and concerns will receive the attention they deserve.

Going to have partial knee replacement done oct 31 got a second opinion after he showed me the X-rays first dr didn’t even do that told me I need a partial knee replacement done ....So glad I listened to you all !

I'm the patient who makes the wait list for surgery look bad. I've been offered 3 dates already, but I have not cleared all the medical conditions. Right now is not the best time. I've been off my feet for several months, so my muscles are not as strong as I'd like them.

BTW, this is the most wonderful and incredible site I've found. I've learned more here than from the clinic, and from sites all over the web.

Yay! My surgery is two weeks from today at Hospital for Special Surgeries NYC. Has anyone had TKR there?
My OS is giving me a Smith-Nephew JOURNEY 11 XR prosthetic (Bi- cruciate ACL/PCL Retaining....)
Has anyone had experience with this? He will use a NAVIO Surgical Syystem....

Trying to stay positive!

Converting from lateral partial (ConforMis) to total (Stryker Triathalon).

Surgery is scheduled for October 17th. Anxiously awaiting. I am not sure what to expect, but it has to be better than hobbling about for 3 months. I had to stop taking my naproxen and I think that made my knee swell up so it's even worse than it was. Beyond frustrated as I can't really do too much. I have heard it's life changing and worthwhile. I am hanging onto to that.
