Welcome to all the most recent February tkrs. I found this site on thanksgiving and have been on every day since. I have never been overnight in a hospital before and am healthy as a ox. Blood pressure, sugar level , heart rate ,cholesterol levels have never been a issue. Maybe 10 lbs overweight but thats my knees fault. Im a empty nester with a girlfriend that comes over daily or every other day. So after work and the gym. I come home and open up bonesmart. Thats why im on it often. Anyways I suggest reading as much as you can, look at a live tkr (if you can stomach that) on youtube or on this site. That way you will get a better perspective on why a tkr is a slow recovery with up and downs , and laughs and tears. Absolutely crucial that you read the mantras and the library ,Josephine expertly and beautifully displays and explains post op recovery aids and proper iceing and elevation methods , pain management!!. Along with excellent and more than helpful moderators and recovered bonesmarties. Everyone helping and uplifting each other ! My confidance is sky high. I better tone it down but I woud have my surgery today is not for work scheduling conflict ! Best of luck to all.

Hi, I am Dennis and having my replacement done on 18 Feb 2014

@dennpatt, Dennis, you have been officially added to the February surgery list!

Please start a thread of your own in the proper forum. Here is the link that gives you the instructions you need to do this: Starting a new thread and posting

By starting your own thread, you and your questions and concerns will receive the attention they deserve. I look forward to seeing your first post.

I started my own thread but haven't been added to the list. Feb 19 RTKR. :)

I will be having my LTKR Tuesday Feb. 4, at 7:30am.
Jo

Hi Jo! I'm scheduled for 8:30am on the 4th. But I have a feeling with the time difference, I'm probably going first, right? I'll be thinking of you!

Hi Susie09, Yes, I think you probably will. I'll be on your heels. I can't wait. I've been dealing with this knee since 2008. It's time. I'm ready.

Welcome to the newest batch of pre ops. You are certainly at the right forum. Most of you may be terrified and nervous maybe even outright scared. But this forum has given me a sense of calm, preparation and confidance. Im ready today but have to wait till the 10th :-(. I joined about two months ago and have learned exactly what to do barring a mishap by my surgeon. Best of luck. Post a thread on the pre op side and introduce yourselves!

I have a TNR scheduled for Feb. 5. Getting anxious to have it done
