@MargeeTx, that's it, make that call. You won't believe the changes you will see & the way your life will change for the better. I am almost 5 months post-op and rarely even think about my hip anymore. I am doing things that I forgot I loved to do like gardening or even going shopping without...
@fulafoto Sounds like things are going great for you:) Isn't it wonderful to get our lives back again? Love the pics - looks like a really fun event - so glad you were able to enjoy it. Joyce

Hi Brian @Plumberbutt - I saw my OS two weeks ago for a final check up (until next year) he tells me that if I think I feel good now wait until next year. Now I'm feeling pretty darn good and can't imagine feeling better but he assures me that after a year I will see a greater difference. That...
Oh Bill @fulafoto I'm so happy that your trip to the hospital found everything A-ok and that you are back feeling better now. I tried to pull that "my new hip weighs more" at a Weight Watcher meeting but they weren't buying it LOL. In my case I had a lot of "oh boy I did it, my THR is done - let...
Hi Bill @fulafoto sounds like things are going great:) I'm happy to hear that you are resting, icing and following all the rules. As the days go on you'll find those rules harder to follow as you'll want to do more & more. When I saw my OS last week he said I'll feel even better a year from now...
Oh YAY!!! Bill @fulafoto So good to hear from you:) One long journey has come to an end and another very exciting and rewarding journey has begun - enjoy:)

Kris @fearbox I have a recliner that came in handy, I slept in it for the first week home. Other than that just a pillow under my leg for the couch or bed. I sat on a pillow in the car or on a dining room chair. You are so lucky to be scheduled so quickly.

@fearbox So sorry you have had such a tough time. Keep reading and asking questions - The BS community will be here to help. I had my RTHR on March 19th & I was very fortunate to have little post op pain. My OS does not order physical therapy other than a few home visits right after the...
@moms4tne Here's something my OS told me yesterday at my (almost) 4 month check up " you will continue to feel better and better for the next year, you won't even realize it." This statement amazed me because I feel so good now! He went on to explain that the relief of being pain free is what I...
@fulafoto Thanks for figuring out the time difference for those of us as time zone challenged as I :) Can't wait to start reading your recovery thread.
Remembering you and your DW in my prayers-God Bless. Joyce
Hi Claire, @MajorHeidi, sorry to hear about the bronchitis :( Hope you're resting up for back to work Monday. Schools out so I'm off until end of August-what a different summer this is. I have so much energy and I'm doing so many things that I had given up before THR. Be well-Joyce
