    TKR TKR25’s Recovery Thread

I looked up "lower back pain" on this forum and I see it is pretty common! I will be 1 year in November for my RTKR, and I've been doing great, until I decided to go out and trim the bushes in front of our house. I was in so much pain yesterday, and after a day of icing it seems better! I...

    Revision TKR A New Day

Oh man, I had my first bath after 5 months TKR, and I know just what you mean! I actually had both knees done in the same year, 9 months apart! Doesn't it feel great to be getting back to as normal as you'll ever be? I'm once again loving my life!

    TKR Round Two

Many thanks to all! This site has been such an inspiration to me for the last 14 months! It has been a long, hard battle, but I'm getting there! We were at a hotel that had a big soaker bath tub, I got in and out all by myself! First bath in over 2 years! Progress!

    TKR Week 1 Recovery

Good morning! For my dry flaky post surgical knee, I used E45 cream. It's great! I also used arnica for the bruising! Definitely do grocery delivery if it is an option! You are doing pretty well for such a new knee! Hang in there, soon this will be just a memory! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

    TKR Help

I am one year on the right, and 4 months on the left. I still have a lot of quad pain and stiffness. I find it hard to go from sit to stand and vice versa. It does get better, it just takes a very long time!

    TKR Sharon’s second knee recovery!

@Sks1997 The funkies come and go, don't they? I also lost 10 lbs initially and have watched it creep back on..makes me so mad at myself! I try to remember that this is like no other journey I have ever been on, and give myself a little break! I go for walks, then my back hurts! I know my new...

TKR MSuki Recovery Thread - Sleep Issues, Muscle cramping, Walking

@MSuki You just need to go at your own pace! I am nearly 4 months out from my 2nd TKR, and one thing I remember from both knees, was my surgeon telling me this: "when you think you are ready to get rid of the walker, use it for one more week". He didn't want me falling, and just reminds us...

    TKR 2nd knee, 2nd recovery

At nearly 4 months I broke out the jeans last weekend! They felt great, but man do I love leggings! I also wore new boots with Dr Sholes comfort insoles! They are not heavy like Doc Martin's, but it felt good to be "stylin,"! Have a great Sunday! I am on the exercise bike watching it snow!

    TKR Sharon’s second knee recovery!

I am 3 months post op and we did 8 hours in the car this past weekend! It took me a few days to recover! I told my hubby that we are going to do 6 hours tops from now on! He agreed, as his hip is bothering him now! Isn't it great getting old, and add in new knees? I hope you get rested up, and...

    TKR JASPA 2nd recovery

@jaspa I too, have both knees replaced! It was definitely easier the 2nd time around, just knowing what to expect! Are you able to ice through the night? That seemed to help me! Sending good vibes your way for a comfortable recovery!

    TKR Round Two

Oh my goodness am I sore today! Yesterday we went to get our passports! First we waited at Walgreens for 30 minutes for our photo, walked around the store for a good bit, then off to the Post Office to stand in line for 30 minutes, only to find that hubby's driver license was expired! I didn't...
