@Majic It sounds like you live where I live, haha! Today it is just below freezing, very windy and snowing. It's hard to walk in cold weather I've found because the metal implants get so cold which in turn makes my legs ache. I sure wish I would have saved some leg warmers from the 80's :)...
Thanks Celle! We're at 18 weeks, 6 days right now. In another 10 weeks we can breathe. They really need to make it to 28 weeks and 32 would be better. I have a feeling they are going to be just the thing I need to forget about my knees! I can't wait :)
@spihaven Whoo! It's almost time for your trip. Have a great time. We're headed back in April again :)
Ok, little update so I can stay within guidelines and then I have amazing news to share with you all :)
I'm doing pretty darn good! Not perfect but pretty good. I still have a...
Hi Anne, I got a notification you had posted and wanted to see how you are and to say hello! So, hello! I'm glad you are doing much better. It's a shame that night time is so unpleasant for you. I hope you get to the bottom of the restless legs and night time pain. Please let us know how...
I had one with and one without. My first knee they numbed my entire leg using ultrasound to guide the needle to the nerve bundles. I think they shot the numbing medication into 3 nerve bundles. It was great! They didn't even take me into the OR until my leg was "dead". It took about 20...
Don't worry Ann :) Remember, this is a roller coaster ride of a recovery. No two days are the same and today may not necessarily be better than yesterday but it doesn't mean anything is wrong. It sounds like you might be experiencing some extra swelling which will definitely inhibit your ROM...
Just catching up on you Ann :) Everything sounds like you are doing just great this time around. I can feel you smiling in your written words and I'm very happy for you. Your PT sounds like a dream gal. I loved mine too. I have no doubt recovery would have been different if not for her...
@spihaven What a fantastic report! You are doing just great from the sounds of it. Soon you will be walking your dogs all by yourself and loving every minute of it. Way to go!
It's so good to see you post and know that the op is now over and you can get on with life. Try to rest as much as you can and don't let them push you too hard. xox
Thank you everyone for the compliments on the pictures :)
@SuperSnapper Have a glorious time! We had beautiful weather through our whole 5 weeks until the last day and it poured rain in Rome. We surely can't complain. Switzerland is on my radar for a future visit. Have fun!
You'll do great! I still have some stiffness too but it gets better little by little all the time. And it sure beats the awful bone on bone pain, right?
Your cruise should be fantastic. We were in Venice and I absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back sometime. It is just so beautiful...
In 2 days my left knee will be 10 months old and next week my right knee will be 7 months old. I'm doing really well now. We just got back from 5 weeks traveling to and around Italy and I have no regrets. We did a similar trip last year and even though we had a great time, my knees were...
Sorry to be so tardy in answering you. I've been out of the country :) I had my surgeries at Ortho Indy with Dr. Joseph C. Randolph. Sorry I can't be of help with the Mooresville place.
