THR Turning point

We had a beagle/corgi mix many years ago. She knew I was pregnant before I did! In those first few months, I'd fall asleep on the couch and wouldn't let my husband come near until I woke up. She was his dog but she growled at him when he tried to bend over and give me a kiss while I was asleep.

Hi @Poodles :hi:
Just checking in to see how you're doing. Hope all is well and you're handling work ok.
Have any exciting plans for the weekend....or just chillin with your boys?
Hope you enjoy whatever you choose to do. A great weekend to you!

HI @Layla . Chillin with the boys is appropriate. It was -3 degrees when I got up this morning about 6:45. Snow tomorrow and Sunday. The mountains and passes are supposed to get up to 42 inches. We are at 3800' feet and only expected to get 2 inches tomorrow and 8 inches Sunday. :snow plough: Gary will be snowblowing. Yep...we'll be chillin! I wish I was in Hawaii with @AgilityDog!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lunch out with friends today, then I am going to work on genealogy the rest of the weekend for as long as I can sit on my chair in my home office. I try to get up and walk every 60 minutes. If my best friend can drive here, she is going to come and we will spend the day on genealogy together Saturday. This is my first "normal" weekend since before surgery!

Happy weekend! It was one of the longest work weeks of my life and I only worked 4 days!

It will get better! You'll build stamina over time. For me, each week was a little better, both in stamina and memory, than the one before.

Get some rest this weekend and recharge the batteries!

I agree on the dreaming of Hawaii!
@AgilityDog is going to get a whole lot of company if this winter doesn't start letting up.
We had 3-5 inches of snow last night and more on the way for Saturday :tantrum:
Taking it slow this weekend will be wise after your first week back to work.
Have fun working on your genealogy!
@Poodles

It depends. We are fortunate to have one bed room. We have the elliptical in the living room. You can breathe the fresh salty air, exercise & watch educational tv. If everyone is happy to sleep standing up, we can fit more people

Could be fun as long as there are enough of us to hold each other up! I could also be persuaded to camp out on the beach. What times should we be there tomorrow?

The earlier, the better. There are little cabin like places that are on the beach, for rent. Perhaps we can catch some fish for dinner. We must be released to enter the ocean. Swimming could be good exercise. Walking on the beach will be good exercise!

@Layla it was my third week back to the office. It was the first of the three I only worked only a normal 32 hours (the other two were 40 hours) and it was the hardest. It's tax season for me, and the IRS waits for no one. :censored: With the snowfall on the way, I will weigh my options for driving up on Monday. I am considering staying home and relaxing one more day. :dancy: That is a big deal for me to say as I show up no matter what. We'll see.

@AgilityDog I'm on my way! I'll take a corner in the living room. All clouded over and ready to pour down snow any moment. Sigh. The weather says it isn't going to start until 2 am tomorrow. I'm not staying up to see if they are right or not.

@AgilityDog I like a little hair here and there. Besides, @SaraK should get the best spot cuz it's her idea and I'm just tagging along to get warm again. Uh...I am in my usual cold weather place. Heat pump working hard to warm the house, I'm on the recliner with it's heat on, electric throw over the top of me turned on low, fleece sweats and wool slippers. Doesn't that sound appealing? It's not cold in the house. It's me that's cold!

I'm always cold. I have no idea what possessed me to have surgery that I was going to need to ice constantly in the middle of winter! OK, I do know what possessed me - that nasty OA pain, but still! I did decide, though, that I knew I was getting better when the ice bags were starting to annoy me because they were cold!

I'm ok with dog hair @AgilityDog as long as your boys won't be upset with the cat hair I bring with me. With one medium haired cat (my son's) and one long haired cat (mine), cat hair is somewhere on every article of clothing I own no matter what I do to try to remove it!

I think JRT hair jumps off of the floor and onto clean clothes. I have looked at the individual hairs. Skinny on one end, fat in the middle, skinny on the other end. @SaraK My guys have not had any problems with cats. Unless there was a rodent involved. They might have preferred to 'do their job'. My Jacks are both waiting at the Bridge. But my little man with the broken coat (Eddie on Frazier) did travel to Hawai'i, so I may have JRT forever

@SaraK I remembered why I didn't have some of the issues I am having this time that I had last time...it was July and hotter than the sun! Yesterday I was struggling to get a sock on by myself, then tie my shoe. Gary had been doing that, but he was at work by the time I took a shower yesterday. Sigh. I was wearing slip on's and sandals last time in July! Poor planning for the pain with this surgery...winter and tax season. Sigh.
