Susie. I am cut to as a total knee replacement. He had to flip my knee cap back. But thinking some issues is going on. Cause I can't sleep and when I awake it's swollen bad. Even if it's a cat nap.

@suedobie, we will have to see how @Josephine handles her recovery, see if she behaves herself before we include her in our outing .
How are you today Sue, I've had my first full outing this morning and my knee is feeling pretty stiff, so I'm off to the recliner with the cryo cuff.

What is a cyrocuff @Ellejay

Hi Angel, a cryo cuff is a nylon/plastic type of cuff which attaches to a small water container which you fill with ice and water. The cuff part wraps round the knee and the iced water is refreshed from the container. It is wonderful, and is my best friend at the moment. I even sleep with it!

Hi Lyn, good to read you have been out, did you do a lot of walking or were you pushed? I have just had one of those Nespresso machines delivered, we decided to treat ourselves to one in the sales, very exciting but I had better not drink too many or I will be wired by the time I want to go to bed

Hi Sue, I didn't have to walk far, my husband dropped us as close as he could, then went off to do some jobs at my Dads bungalow, then came and collected us, so I really only had to walk a short way to the library.
Do let me know how you get on with your coffee machine, we have a very basic Senseo machine, which is fine, but the more sophisticated ones are very tempting, but I can't have too many coffees in a day so I might just stay with our basic model. I've just had my John Lewis Sale parcel, two new dresses and some new bedding. I've deliberately bought the dresses in a size too small, I really need to take myself in hand now and do something about my weight. I no longer have the "I can't exercise because my knee hurts" excuse, or not for much longer anyway .

Just made a de-caff espresso, very impressed it came with a selection of pods so will have fun trying them out, I have to be careful because if I drink too much coffee I get palpitations

Ooh get you, two new dresses but you are very brave getting them in a smaller size, that's putting yourself under pressure but good on you, I am a bit worried about getting larger as obviously not doing anywhere near the exercise my body is used to and I have a HUGE appetite also being at home its very tempting to wander into the kitchen to see what goodies are left from Christmas, new coffee machine also has a milk frother so that's another reason not to have too many Latte's

When we went to Lakeside on NY eve I did look enviously at the lovely bed linen but resisted temptation

The Rivers at Sawbridgeworth, has a good reputation I believe and my OS Paul Allen is one of the top ten in country and the Nurses were really lovely

I know about the Rivers. I was working at Princess Alex when it was opened. I also know Paul very well - he was one of 'my' registrars at PA in 1987!

And the parking's not too dusty - you should try some of the London hospitals!
Also here at Sunderland it's £2.50 for 3 hours.

Ice and elevate for about 3/4 hours during the day and about 4 in the evening

Is that 3-4 hours or ¾ of an hour? The first one is best!

Morning Sue, that coffee sounds good, I've just had a gingerbread latte, mmmmmm. How did you sleep, I hope the Tramadol is still helping.

Mmmmm Gingerbread sounds lovely, do you have the syrup? Yes sleeping much better although had an ache in my hip last night, not taking any pain meds during the day but take two Tramadol before I got to bed and 1 if I wake up about 4am

I've cut down to 1 Tramadol + 1 paracetamol an hour before bed, maybe I need to up it a bit, especially as I get more active. I did take a couple of paracetamol just now after my home PT session.
Yes, I bought a selection pack of syrups just before Christmas, trouble is my favourites, the gingerbread and the cinnamon are nearly finished already.

sounds as if we have similar tastes, have you tried Starbucks Chai Tea Latte, I love it, no calories of course

That sounds good, I enjoy chai, but I haven't tried chai latte.
I'm just about to have a session on our old mini trampoline, apparently stepping from one foot to the other will strengthen my muscles, and then my husband has resurrected the Wii, it hasn't been used for years, but he found me about to buy a wobble board on e bay and pointed out that the Wii had one...wish me luck!
