THR Thigh pain 19 months after THR

I have gotten the run around so many times, wasted tests and the looks good to me answer, only to find out that it was not fine. I know that there are some really GREAT Doctors out there and I show them the upmost respect but they are few and far between.

It's your body and your life and ultimately you are paying the bill, you are a customer. If you are not satisfied pursue another Dr for an opinion. If the original Dr gets upset about it that would show they are more interested in something other than your health.

Update ~ Got the blood work done, don't know the results of that yet. Tried to schedule the bone scan but the soonest they have is the 17th of Dec., which the PA and I think is crazy but since then, the knee that he said has a little fluid on it and gave me the lidocaine shot in (Right Knee) , now has a LOT of fluid on it, to the point where it hurts to walk so I go see him tomorrow and see if he hit something when he gave me that shot because it didn't bother me before he gave me the shot. Now to the fun part, I don't think it's my Hip at all, I think it's my back and the reason I say that is, back in Dec 2018 , I had a fusion done by the same practice on the L4/L5 but they only put hardware on one side, which every Doctor I have seen has said that was very strange and asked why he did it that way, which I didn't have an answer, since I was face down and out cold. The answer I got was so they didn't mess with the nerves on the right side. A Neurologist, I went to see found out that my Hips were the issue as he didn't have blinders on like most Doctors do, said both hips had NO cartilage and was bone on bone. Now I am having back spasms, like I did before I had the fusion , walking with a cane because I don't know when one will hit and I don't want to hit the floor. @Eman85 , wife is not going with me so my filter is off.
Thank you all for being a sounding board !!

I hope it all works out, get all of the details you can and take time to think about what you want them to do. Just my opinion but I don't go to PA's or NP's, I want a certified Dr.

That is who I see tomorrow, the PA was the one that said it was crazy that I couldn't get into have the bone scan sooner as I have done all the other things that was asked for me to do. I am getting the same pain/spasms as I did when I had my back issue and went to so many doctors until they found the hip issue and I am starting to think this is that same thing but in reverse, not my hip but my back

Update ~ All the tests came back clean and the spasms have increased on my left side , sleeping last night was a lot off turning to only turn back to my other side. It is funny how the pain can make you think it's one thing and it turns out to be something else. Having lived through those spasms before I had back surgery, I remember so well how they can stop you in your tracks and that it what is going on now so really, I am kind of thankful that I know what the issue is and I can stop chasing ghosts. I go see a back doctor Friday and I am sure that he will bring up that I only have hardware on one side of the fusion, which I can't answer why but maybe he can. I would like to thank all for your input and concern, I hope all of you find the answers that you need and deserve...… God Bless

I hope you get some answers from the back doctor. Glad your tests so far are “clean.” Good luck Friday.
