One more accomplishment! Made it down into the arena and back up many steps for grand daugnter's Cheer Off competition! Sat in stadium seats for 2 hrs with no pain! Hurrahhhh! ( Her squad came in 3rd in a tough field! We were loud and proud! ) Rather than stay to see older girls, I opted to come home and rest the knee! Not pushing it tooooo far! Kneerah!

Cute, cute, cute! And way to go with the knees and the stadium steps! That's a real accomplishment!
Good idea to rest up after a big outing. Kneerah!

wow @Thesoutherncook ~ that is amazing you could do all that painfree! what a lovely photo of you, hubby and granddaughter. hope you've recovered from the trip and congratulations to your granddaughter.

What a lovely photo of you with your granddaughter, Helen!

I have no idea what a Cheer Off competition is, but it was obviously special for that little girl to have her grandparents there.

@Celle Picture a large arena with hundreds of parents cheering loudly while their little girls (first grade ) perform cheers and dances for 2 minutes each squad! Our Grand, Emmie, is on a squad of 13 (7 yr old) girls who think they are pro cheerleaders (like the ones on pro football, assuming you have them in NZ! ) They wear uniforms, hair is all styled alike and they have shiny pompoms! Lol! We were almost deaf when we left the arena! They have competition ALL day with different age groups. Thankfully, they awarded trophies after each division! Or we would still be sitting there! Not sure the knee would have been happy about that!! And now you know....way more than you wanted to know! :heehee:

Thanks for enlightening me Helen!
I do know about cheerleaders, although we don't go in for them much here in NZ.

Helen, congratulations on conquering all those stadium stairs, the ride down there, and all that sitting with no ill-effect! Kneerah indeed!:happydance::loveshwr:

The photo and Emmie are just precious!

What a great photo -- your granddaughter is darling and you all are glowing! Or perhaps glad to be out of the noisy arena. So glad your knee did so well!

Had a great time with the Grands , but SOOOO happy to be home to my recliner, ice and my own bed! :ice:
I am exhausted! And the stairs caused discomfort in the OTHER leg..almost like a pulled groin muscle. Ugh! But, I know that after a day or so of rest, I'll be good to go again! At least, I hope so as we have houseguests coming Thurs-Sun! I promise, no more Grand pics!

Rest-up Helen, you were a real Knee-Warrior! And please, keep the pics coming!
