To make new friends and to find support that we need so bad because we feel like :headbang: To make life long friends, because I feel this can happen here because we are honest, good people and we have all in common rotten joints.:yikes: Can we use the rotten joints?:scary:Well I guess we can.:heehee: We can find hope, support and let out our:hissy:if we need to. Well thats the short version of the post. Bottom line I hope everyone has a good weekend or just a few moments of peace, no fear, no pain just calm wave. Well I need to get to bed got lots to do tommow. I have to make sure I get up early so I can get thru naps I need.:rotfl: I have a PT appointment tomarrow around eleven. Another good day. I realized my bad days now are nothing compared to what my bad days were before the surgies. The future seemed so far away. Now that I am in the future its great. I still have lots to do but up the hill I go. When I get to the top I will sit and just enjoy my journey. Almost 2 years and couple months I started this hill with my first knee replacement, 2010 and now I have some time to look back. Two knees and a hip and now a great furture. I am so glad that doctors have come as far as they have so I can have the benifits. (sp) There has been lots of sweats and tears but worth it. I could hardly walk when I started this journey. I can walk pain free around my house and before that was almost impossible. WoW. Well I still have lots of work to do but it is well worth it. Everyone take care and have a good week. :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:

Today was better than last night. I went to the doctors and found out that my surgies should of been in different order. My left leg should of been first, then the hip, then the right. this really upset me because I don't know how many people I went to saying something was wrong. I was in horrible pain. they just gave me some meds and sent me home instead of checking it out. Now I also have a bad stomach. Now my question is if the worse leg was done last, and caused me not be able to do all the exerises like I needed with the other leg. Am I in trouble. The right leg doesn't swell as much but it still wakes me up at night hurting. The stiff part I can get use too. but what about the pain. Has anyone had this happen to them? I need answers. What can I do to get out of pain with my right knee. :sos::shrug:Does anyone have any idea on what to do. I have to contunue healing with the left leg because its new but what about the right? :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle2:

Hang in there and give those knees time to heal. Healing is always possible, get some rest, and rember to ice elevate and medicate.

Dear Tashia,
I am trying to understnad what happened here. Do you mean the doctor said the operations were done in the wrong order? I am not sure why he would say that and upset you! Your previous posts sound so positive and upbeat! Pumpkin's advice to rest and elevate is good. Also keep focused on all you IMPROVEMENTS (Like being able to walk around the house painfree.
I hope you are having a beautiful night sleep as I write this and will wake up to a beautiful morning!
Hugs
Elle

Elle11, Yes the operations were done in the wrong order. The doctors are suppose to do the worse first, then second, then third. But mine was not done in that order. My concern is because of the left being done last I was not able to do all the exercise on the right like you are suppose too so its right is very weak. So does this mean the right leg will always hurt and stay weak? All along I thought something wasn't right, now its been confirmed. My recover is now I believe going to take longer. You would think if a person keeps returning with horrible pain, you would look into Why, instead just giving her some strong drugs and send her home to return later because of being in more pain. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this happen too. I put it out there so other persons on the site that they feel they aren't being listen to, to really push to make sure the same thing doesn't happen to them. I can't change what happened to me but maybe by sharing it. It can help someone else. I have some rash around the left knee. I hope I am not allergic to the glue that was used in my knee.

On a happier note I have the caregiver I want I think. I find that all of soon things are more differcult.
Good news my swelling is going down in both knees. Last night was close. Both knees are stiff but that is nothing new. I am suppose to start working on getting off the strong medication when I feel its ready. I will be so glad to be off them and I can start driving. I also have been free to start swimming but first the rash must be addressed. The weather has been great. I guess by the weekend we are suppose to be back near the 100 which is normal for this time of year. There is a cruise in February that I sure would like to go. But will see. after all this I do need a vacation. My PT says that I have lot of scar build up in the right knee. What do you do about it? Do you keep working on it. or got to the doctor to help get rid of it. Has anyone had this happen to them. I will start thinking about starting my messages again. Question: Does messages help brake up the scar tissure? Well I better go and see what I can find out about lots of scar tissure build up. Everyone do take care. :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:

Hello Tashia,
I see you have been up early today!
I am so sorry that your medical team there is not listening to you and that you are afraid your recovery might be longer.
What are you doing for the rash? That would be nice to be able to swim, as well as go on a cruise!
I would go get a massage, just because they feel good! I don't know if they break the scar tissue, but my OS told me to self-massage the area around my incesion every day.
Tashia, you take care of yourself, okay, maybe walk around a little in the house to get rid of the stiffness in your knees and then elevate and rest some more.
Hugs,
Elle

Elle11, I sleep most of yesterday so I woke up early. However getting ready to go back to bed. Stiffness is better. Have a good day.:puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:

Yikes, I just was on our knee thread and posted there. Do you check both? Which one do you want us hippies on or does it matter?
Cathy

I do both. Since I have had both, I try to keep my information on the part that has been done. I just had a nap and woke up a little score. Took medicane waiting for it to work. It doesn't take long and I need it every 6 to 8 hours. When it hurts its not in the high numbers. My stomach needs some food so I better feed it. Take care. :puppysmooze:Tashi:bicycle1:

Well I thought I would drop by my hip site. Not much is happening with the hip. It is in full RECOVERY. Wow that is so great. Now for the knees. The right one is getting better and the swelling in this knee is getting better. The left which is newer is doing pretty good. Going very slow but study. Am walking without the cane and walker around the house but still using the walker when I go out. I feel more stable with it. It also helps keep people away from bumping me. I am hoping to go to sewing this weekend. I will have to take a taxi but so what I get to be around people. I have been playing with my sewing for the past couple of days. I still have a couple of days to get thing organize then I can sew. All my sewing was left in a mess. Before the surgies I just dropped everything now its time to get back to playing. Recover with the knees are going great. I found going very slow is the answer for me. Everyone do have a good weekend and play safe. Take care. :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:

Went sewing and good to see people. today is very quite. Took a easy. Feel good but confused. I was under the opion that I was surpose to take Morphine for my base and use the other drug for brake thru if so why do I take my brake thru every 4 hours. Shouldn't the base be strong enough so I don't need the brake thru this often? I guess I need to call my doctor and see whats up. :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle2:

Glad you got to your sewing. I know how much you love that. Happy you seem to be knowing how to pace yourself these days. Seems to be really working for you. Hope you get those meds straightened out. , Cathy

Thanks Cathy, I just realized that you spell your name just like my sister does. Small world isn't it. Hows the weather in your neck of the woods? We had thunder and Lighting last night which is not seen here. Make me feel like I was living in the Midwest. But I do have to say it was a beautiful site but at 3 to 5 in the morning?:heehee:Just kidding it was pretty and no one got hurt so it was great. What a show. Everyone take care and stay safe. :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:
