Today is a good day. No dought its a beautiful day up where you live Punkin, I love the fresh clean air and the lake Tahoe area even thou it can be cold at night. My swelling on my legs are having a better day. Of couse i have found that some days get better after a good cry. Last night I went thru some of my sewing fabric to have all the colors together so all i have to do is walk into my closet and get the color I want. I still haven't found a pattern for making a quilt with dots. I just thought it would be fun. Just lots and lots of dots of all colors. Also will no dought get rid of my van. It just sits there dead as a could be. i do have a person who wants it but i don't think its safe enough for anyone unless lots of works get done. and she just doesn't have the money. Cars are expensive and vans are more expensive to issurance. I decided to get a package packed since i dont know the time so whenever I get the notice it will be ready. that goodness i don't have to worry about taking care of a house or yard this time. I do miss having a pet greatly but after operation that will change. We are having a 24 hour sewing for children this week I havn't decide if I will try to make it. so many people need help but this will help so its worth it. Well that enough from me and do enjoy the day. and of course be careful and please don't forget to take something for pain. Pain can get me in axiety and depression and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. so do take care. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:
 
Hi Tash, lovely to read that today is a good day for you. You sound all prepared for when the call comes for you to go into hospital. I've got everything crossed that call comes soon. Hope you feel strong enough to to the sewing event, it would be good for you to spend time with your friends.

Mad Rocker Thanks for the laugh. In fact a very good one. I will not win but hay it sure is fun trying. :th_heehee: Now that we have said this, a lot of people on this site is wondering what we are talking about. So i wil try to explain. Sewer never have enough fabric. We get fabric because some day we will be able to make something with it. A dress, a quilt, a hat. You get the picture. My stash, thats what it called is not too bad. I like to have all the colors together so i can find the colors so i don't have to go out and buy more. Also i do have a section of just Red, White, & Blue just for very special people who will be will to fight or help anyone. It feels good to give back and say Thank You. Mad Rocker do you have one?. Oh No Tash I do not even know much about sewing and I'm sticking to that.

But my best friend has a room (originally a bedroom) that she had cupboards with glass doors installed on all 4 walls. It is incredible the fabric that she has. I just get dizzy. She makes quilts and they are fabulous but how she keeps track of the fabric? She take photos of it and classifies it so she can create her quilts . Its mind boggling. :rolleyespink:
 
Punpkin, We will see about that. A friend of mine had a five bedroom house and most of it is for sewing. the smallest room is the one she sleep in. the bigest bedroom is for her stash. she also has a office so she can keep up on the things needed for sewing. The family room is for her long arm for quilting and other room is for her sewing other than long arm. the living room is for taking breaks and the kitchen is for storing chocalate, soda, and wine and other have to have like food. She is thinking of having sewing retreats after she has her hips done. Her knees are bad too. i talked to her about having them done and she is too afraid. i did give her this site and I hope she joins and get them done. they are so bad. I do hope one day she does join us and gets them done so she can do more sewing and be able to get more fabric. :th_heehee: Her husband got so frustrated he built his room on top of the garage and builds model airplanes up there. :hysterical::doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:
 
Tashia, I love reading your posts, you always have something interesting to tell us about. I can't believe that practically all that womans house is took up with her sewing stuff.Her husband must be a very understanding man.

I hope she joins us too, seems like it would do her good to come on and chat.

Today was a very good day. Wore different shoes and made all the diffence in the world. knees are tender but not as bad. The feet are just tender also. so will try to wear them again tomarrow. Got to take a excellent long nap. Got to go and lunch and food shopping. It bad when cabinets are bare. I even got to get some sewing magines. Wow what a good day. So far today my knee and foot have been better. Sitting in the recliner and icing right now.

Of couse spelling has never been a strong point so I do hope I don't say anything that will hurt any feeling. Reason I say this I was writing a term and it was late and a spell check said it was ok well it wasn't. So glad you had a good day! It does feel good to get out and do a little, doesn't it? Know what you mean about bare cupboards, now that I'm retired and watching my budget I go a lot longer without shopping (grocery and otherwise). But finding it fun to try and budget and get things cheaper with coupons or sales. Hope you have another great day and those shoes help.
 
Together, with my neighbors fabric we would then have plenty to compete.
One time a co worker spelled perogies, instead of progress in a note. Next potluck we had a work, of course I brought perogies.

Today was another day out. Got really tired but it was a very exciting day. I looked up in the air and say a Battle of the Fitness. A Bird had a rattlesnake in his claws and was taking him home for dinner and the snake did everything he or knew to convince that he was't the right one and needed to be put back for another day. The bird won so I guess it depends on who side you were on. The bird had a very good meal and the snake population loss a member today. Personally I was just hoping the bird wouldn't drop the snake of me. When they flew out of sight the snake wasn't very happy. Afterwords my sewing buddie and i went and had lunch. We need to eat too:th_heehee:Our food was cooked which we enjoyed. :doggieshmooze:tashia:friends:
 
My Nephew had a snake drop on his arm, he was jumping and screaming. Turned out to be a garter snake, it was let loose in the garden.
 
Punkin, I would be upset but this snake was big. the bird was a good size and I could say he was over three feet. He was really up high. Sounds the fish story on how bit was my fish that got away.:th_heehee: I am trying to learn more on the computer so I could play games on it. I think my daughter is about to disown me. I just not a computer person. She down loaded a couple of games and she is learning I really have problem with it. At least I can draw and Osmois I think the came is . I am doing everything to keep my mind busy since I still don't know time, Its driving me crazy. I also got some sewing magazines to read so I have plenty to do but times just drangs on. Wish I knew time and place. I guess this is a test on patience. I'm Loosing. I know tomarrow is another day and hopefully a call telling me time and place. Well it time to yell at the computer again. I loved your story about the snake. It reminded me of a time when I was about 11. My friend and I took a neighbour's placid Labrador, Honey, out for a walk. We lived in a rural area and so let her off the lead.

We saw her scrabbling about in the bushes, and were appalled to find that she had dragged out an adder (the UK's only poisonous snake), and was enthusiastically worrying it.

Us two eleven-year-olds were panic-stricken at the thought of the trouble we'd get into when we dragged poor Honey's lifeless body back to the neighbour.

Thankfully the snake was apparently as panic-stricken as we were, and we were so relieved to see it slithering back into the brambles, where Honey couldn't follow.

I see from your posts that you are waiting for A Big Date. I have an important appt coming up in July. It's all just a waiting game, isn't it!
