Sue, awesome work so far. Your sounding great and staying another day sounds like the right thing to do. I wish I would have stayed another day actually. For me I was released at 5 and by the time we got home it was 6:45ish and I was exhausted. So yes you did the right thing. Glad to hear that your mobile!

Good luck and enjoy getting waited on!

Great work Sue a day or two more in hospital is not much in the great scheme of recovery! I was like you were on Morphine. Don't like it! Well done for getting off it. Take things e-e-easy and don't be afraid to ask for meds if your pain increases. Gill

UPDATE :)...Monday was first full day at home and didn't have a great morning..Got sick :eeeuw: 3 times in morning. I took myself off Vicodin because I knew it was that..Bad bad stuff :groan: Nurse came and called doctor and put me on Tramadol...and the afternoon was so much better..Took 1 Tramadol before bed and went nighty night up at 4:30 am to make potty run lol......3 out of 10 on pain scale, but i had Pt evaluation that afternoon. Today....I am a new person, more myself than i have been in last 5 days :) :yay::happydance::yes!: Nurse came back, and she was like you are a new person and I am so happy. Hubby has been so very awesome to the point he needed to do things that I or he never expected. (:censored: monthly thing.... I know right!!!!!!!! what a time for it to come pay visit :hairpulling: ) Sorry men lol Hubby says : that is not in the contract..I said you forgot to read fine print :) :heehee: I feel so good today ..just relaxing in bed and sit up in chair few times a day :) The pain, which not really pain but stiffness has really never been over a 3 ...i am grateful....So here's to a great day...Going to try to catch up on my BS friends and newbies :)....:friends:

Awesome sue. Sounds like your in good spirit! Good thing your hospital is so willing to switch meds. I can't begin to imagine why but I got push back (probably cost related). They didn't want to take my off oxy and begrudgingly gave me Vicodin. I get a lot fewer side effect from Vicodin while oxy I display a whole list of

Glad to hear your doing well got rid of the nausea and are in good spirits. As to DH, "in sickness and in health" provides for a lot of latitude for situations such as this. LOL.

Loved the censored part (and your comebacks) - I guess I should be grateful I'm in menopause! Please keep updating us- I'm feeling so encouraged for my surgery next week!

ONE WEEK UPDATE:)....First I can't believe it has been 1 week since surgery, wow time flew by. I am feeling so good and back to my old self (well not old) but u all get it...lol...but the most special news happened today, with the help of my walker: I actually walked. like walk the walk ...one foot in front of other with out stopping walk. I was strutting my stuff up and down my short hallway and the whole time yelling look i'm walking :) (silly i know) but i never expected first to feel so great and walk like that one week out without pain.. I cried. still pain not above 2 and only take Tylenol during day and Tramadol at night before bed. PT said I was doing so great and said recovery is different with each person, but she believe that attitude plays huge role and she said Sue you got that down pat :):happydance::giggle: To feel no bone on bone I can't even begin to describe the emotions that go thru you...all good just emotional. Tomorrow she said we going on a field trip...I said oh yeah where Target???..she laughed and said no silly walking up and down your drive way couple times slowly. I was like omg your kidding she said nope. I stopped and said can I lose the whitiesi (socks) for the field trip she said of course. :egypdance: After she left i got in bed and iced and just chilled out...I truly am so thankful and grateful...so far so good. As @Jp9294 once said...having a positive attitude makes a great difference in all you do and I am thankful to her post on that. :thankyou: I am taking this day by day ...the good with the "censored" lol and walk on. :) I love being a "hippie" and proud of it ;) :loveshwr:

Awesome week one sue. You really seem to be beaming in your post!
