@Aline you need to hover over the like symbol and a choice of symbols will pop up. Then choose. If you accidentally hit like, hit it again until you figure out how to hover, and choose.

On your phone, touch and keep pressing the ‘like’ button until the list shows up above it. It should only take a second or two of pressing. Then you can touch the one you want.

Uh oh, So he didn't tell you anything except that they would see you on Monday?
I hope you have things to keep your mind busy until then.
I'll have to ask my sister about Blink. it sounds pretty amazing, and crowded!

Thank you for the love! Am sending it right back to you and wishing for you some peace of mind until Monday.:angel:

Hi @Aline
With any luck the scope brings you some relief. It's only been five months since you've embarked on this recovery journey but you're dealing with a lot.
Stay in touch and let us know how it goes and how you're doing.
Hope you get to feeling better soon! :console2:

@Aline Well, then. Okay, so now you know. Did the Dr mention the down time involved with a scope? I hope you consider taking some time and letting your body recover.
As for the swelling, are you continuing to ice your hips? I know it gets to be a real drag but I still ice each night. Especially since I have gone back to full time at work and my work can be strenuous.
I actually can still find a little pocket of swelling behind my knee. (from my hip)

Here's something I do nightly, to give my body a little boost in resorbing some of the fluid.
If you're up to it, give it a try. I find it helps me fall asleep, too:

****
Take deep breaths.. deep, as in breathing in to a count of 5, or 3 or 4, whatever is best for you. hold it for another count of 5 then blow out completely, still using the count that's comfortable for you. A series of at least 6 of these could help get your excess swelling to move. To ensure you are taking proper deep breaths, place your hand on your naval and watch while taking in your breath, if doing this properly you should see your hand move up.
Do this whenever you feel up to it during the day or night. The more supine that you could get in the recliner or bed, the more effective this was.. you have lymph nodes seated there in your groin and sitting up too much can cause a restriction of sorts.

You can, after the breathing, place your hands lightly on your upper thigh, right where the crease is in your groin and lightly stroke upwards towards your naval.
I did this quite a bit post op and while it takes a while for the body to wake up and respond, it will, and it will help get things moving.
The reason this can help is because our lymphatic system doesn't use our cardiovascular system to help lymph fluids move.. no assistance from the heart pumping. Our breathing and our physical (muscular) movements keep it flowing.
****

I hope this helps you, @Aline
I also hope it makes sense to you. It can be difficult to explain, but it seriously can help.

@CricketHip I will try this. Surgeon does not recommend a total knee replacement but possibly a partial I do not want any more surgeries I get exhausted just thinking about it
The cortisone did not work and the gel is hard to get approval through my insurance he told me Anthem is moving away from approving this approach
He did not tell me how long I would be down with arthroscopic just they would insert camera on one side to see if there is anything the MRI didn’t pick up
I am seeing another specialist in the office Wednesday to see what / how to approach surgeon wants to be conservative with treatment
I received results on my chart but have no idea what all the medical lingo
Underdeveloped femoral trochlea with slight lateral tilting of the patella but no acute patellar disruption
Chondromalacia patella and milder medial and lateral femortibial chondrosis
Lol mouthful
As long as I come home and rest everyday I am working 6 hours it seems to be settled down the picture I posted weeks ago I was going to medical Excercise and massage twice a week and running errands all has stopped and on weekends I run errands and rest throughout the day
I do not ice my hips went down weeks ago I have discomfort when bending forward and have tweaks of pain here and there but short lived

I was still icing for pain relief well after I had no more swelling...intermittently even at 6 months out.
You might consider revisiting this.

So sorry you may be looking at some knee work in the future, dear Aline.
I certainly understand you wanting a reprieve from recovering.

Hugs...xxx
