THR Spring is right around the corner

Oh it will go away. That whole swelling/ soft tissue healing just takes time. I want mine gone and it hasn’t been a week. Looks like I have a grapefruit on my hip.

You're funny! :heehee: @Walking in the sand
Consider icing your incision area while you're sitting around day or night.
It will slowly go down.
Too bad about your favorite jeans but they had to get to that poor leg after your fall.
Hope you had a nice Sat & Sun and aren't feeling so blue like you were a couple days ago.
A great week to you!

I am feeling better @Layla. I got a solid 5 hours last night. Whew. Feeling much better. We need to be thankful for even sleep.

@Layla I have a package of peas I keep using. My daughter walked through the family room the other day and said, “remind me not to eat peas here for awhile!” I assured her these would be pitched when done.

I'm glad to hear it @Walkinginthesand
Sleep is the best thing for you right now as our bodies do their best healing
while we're asleep. I hope you sleep well again tonight :yawn: :sleep:

I did the same for first months, I was so frustrated . Full nights sleep was last thing to resolve!
Just gave up struggling, and took naps when I could and got up when I had to. So hard to be quiet bumping into everything with walker and over protective hubby jumping up with me.
It WILL get better. Post op blues don't help, but also normal recovery mess!
Much sympathy.

Did your groin pain resolve itself when surgery was done? My pain feels like I pulled all the muscles in the bottom right of my stomach, that if I could just massage the muscles, it would help. Unfortunately, there’s no relief. Was this close to your experience?

Husband took me to get haircut today. @Mojo333 I was so excited. I put on makeup, even perfume- you would have thought I was going to the symphony. When I walked in my stylist said, “oh are you having a bad day!” She knows about surgery but I thought I looked good. :sigh:

@Walkinginthesand . :sorry:
The comment I detest is "you look tired" which means you look like you've been run over by a truck.
Good for you for sprucing up, make YOURSELF feel better.
Won't be long and you will springing back to life. Hope your week is peaceful.:) :-) (:

Well done for putting your face on, ignore the hairdresser I’m sure you looked lovely.
I’ve not been bothering unless I’m going out. But had the urge to put some on last week before going to work at the farm. Hubby actually asked if I was off to see a fancy man rather than work :loll:

@Walkinginthesand Hi, it's amazing what a bit of makeup will do isnt it? So sorry about the blues they really are rotten but most of us get them at some time or another and they do pass with time. Also at one point I thought I was turning into a night owl as some nights I couldn,t sleep at all and then would have days where I slept a lot. I found this eased after I had stopped all the strong meds and just used GPs prescriptions. My leg was also swollen but suddenly just disappeared one morning. Everything just takes time and we find it so hard to be patient LOL!
You are doing fine and have improved from day one. It,s early days yet so take things easy and try to chill. Your weight bearing will soon be over and that will be such a bonus. Anything you need just ask away. Cheers Carol

Stylist - "Oh, are you having a bad day?" :scratch:
You- "No, why are you asking?" :skep:
Stylist - :blush: :doh::mute:
You - :heehee:
I'll bet you looked lovely! Says something about the way you're feeling, taking care of YOU.
You deserve it.....Shine On!
@Walkinginthesand

I am one month out from surgery and feeling good. Some nights I sleep and some I don’t. But it is better. Down to only Tramadol and Tylenol.

Wondered if we could do a shoutout of how far along everyone is? I lose track of everyone’s recovery process.

@Walkinginthesand if you look at the member's signature in most cases their surgery dates are there so you can instantly see how far along they are in recovery.
