THR Sharon's Anniversary Waltz

Thanks, everyone, for good wishes. I stopped taking Celebrex since home from Costa Rica. It must linger in the body for about 4 days, but since Saturday...oh my.....yes, let's fix this hip! Spending today getting household in perfect order (hah!), running a few last-minute errands, and then having dinner with some of my kids and grandgirls. I'll have a late-night snack around 11:30, and then try to sleep till 4:30am. Then one last shower with the anti-microbial soap (very drying...I hate it!!), and I'll show up at the hospital at 5:30 for a 7:30 surgery time. I'm glad I'm the first one of the day. I am pretty sure I'll opt for the spinal this time, so I'm hoping to be in my room ready for lunch at the usual lunchtime.

Cathy, yes, Torturguero was amazing! We were at a lovely lodge for two nights. Iguanas on the ground, monkeys in the trees throwing berries down on us, amazing birds.....it was wonderful. :)

Jo....I promise I won't start new threads. I keep wondering why you don't put a sticky post on the Recovery thread to remind everyone to stick to just one thread on this side. You could title it: ONE THREAD PER HIP....or something like that. :)

Okay everyone, behave yourselves for the next few days. I want to see good reports when I get back online. (Of course I'll have my iPad with me, so I won't miss much. :)

Sharon

You go girl !!! Good luck to you and look forward to hearing about how well things have gone.

Sharon, best of luck tomorrow with your surgery! I'm sure it will go great and you will be dancing around in no time at all :-)

Dorothy

Ok, Sharon, according to my (faulty) time zone math...you should just about have your wonderful new hip now! I am sending you warm, healing energy (which happily does not need good math!)
We are looking forward to hearing from you!

Fantastic Sharon, rest well... Great that it is all over :)

Great to hear from you so soon Sharon. Enjoy your snoozing.

Been to the bathroom and back three times now. No dizzy or woozy at all. I wimped out and had general.
Sleep? This is a hospital. No sleeping in a hospital....it's a rule. But doing well.

Glad the surgery went well and you are getting along as expected. Looking forward to hearing more when you are up to it.

Dorothy

You didn't wimp out honey, you just decided to have a general. Great though, that you are not feeling woozy or anything. ...and you are right, there really is no sleeping in the hospital. You'll have to wait till you come home for that :heehee:

HOORAY for Sharon! You are STRONG and BRAVE (we all have been).

Ask for some natural peanut butter on those graham crackers, and maybe a bottle of champagne!

Hugs.
