THR Sarak - There's Life After a Hip Replacement

@danabanana - That is fabulous! Now forming - the Super Hippie League. Current members are the Desperado and Unstoppable. The only qualifications necessary is at least one THR or hip arthroscopy and the will to let nothing get in your way of recovery - not doctors, physical therapists, other illnesses or anyone or anything else. Who else is in?

@Berber7227 - what's your Super Hippie name? Choose and then tag someone else that you think should join!

We should have Edna Mode from the Incredibles movie make suits for us that camouflage incisions.

@danabanana They considered a core decompression on my first hip but didn't think it would be of enough benefit because of torn/degenerated labrum. I feel for you for going through it and then having to go through THR. Equivalent of THR then revision.

Thanks @SaraK

It was one of those tough decisions. I was an ideal candidate though, being early stage AVN and young. If there was a chance for it to work and I could keep my parts, we decided why not go for it. My OS had performed the surgery many times in Ontario but I was the very first here at my hospital in BC. I became quite popular in the orthopaedic medical community for some time. This newly formed Dana's Hip Club was fascinated with the procedure! Haha Unfortunately the hoped outcome wasn't achieved. Super disappointing not to mention deeply frustrating. Oh well....onward and upward.

Last night was so much fun, I decided to go out again tonight - the band was "Groove Thang." I didn't drink tonight so that I could take some meds tonight to help recuperate. I promise tomorrow will be a day of rest, but I needed one more night of fun before I head back to work (part time) on Monday! And things will be much more sedate during the week.
