Hinged Joint Revision Complete, recovery continues

Cold and windy, so skipped swimming today, hoping to go tomorrow. Hope the weather cooperates.
@71Beetle I think your husband is the same with cheering for the Original 6 is he not?
You have that right, he loves the original 6.
Switching between the Cubs and the Stanley Cup tonight. Go LA! Go Cubs!

@patient 99 , I am thrilled about you having such a great day. Hope this is just the start of many more great days.
Thanks for your encouragement, I do worry about the alignment, it does seem to be sorting it self out.
@lovetocookandsew I would be doing more if I was home alone, DH stops me if I try to do something he thinks I am not ready for.

Had a massage today, worked on some old scar tissue on my knee where I am sore, less clicking and snapping over the prosthesis now. Going to have another session next week.

Have a great weekend everyone!

@Pumpkln - I am not a baseball fan myself so sticking with the hockey game. Sorry to hear that you could not go swimming today. The massage sounds divine though! Does it hurt when they massage the scar? I have been massaging my own but I doubt I am pressing hard enough to make a difference on the scar tissue. I have a massage booked for next Friday and I cannot wait!

It was the good kind of hurt, stopped as soon as he finished. Actually you do not have to press very hard, gentle movement is enough on the surgical scar. The scar we worked on is from 2008, and entrenched.
Glad to hear you are booked in next Friday.

Cubs Win!

Happy that your team won! I love massage. I asked my husband if he would take a massage therapy course and he said no way - he does not want to touch other people's backs. I said he should take the course anyway and I would be his only client. He is still not interested

Rooting for the Kings right along with you Pumpkin! (Go Cubbies) The sainted Joe (DH) and older daughter got to go to game 1! I took for to her first Kings game when she was about 4 months old ~ slept through the whole thing, but has become a real fan of all sports. She would love to be General Counsel for the Dodgers!

Woo Hoo LA! So happy they won! I am so tired (12:30 am here). Maybe I will sleep through the night.
Sweet dreams!

Was up for a few hours last night and was unable to sleep straight through, :tiredwheel:.

Same here @Pumpkln - maybe we were too excited after the hockey game. I finally got to sleep at almost 5 and was awake before 7:30. I am going to try and nap now.

I am going to take a rest this afternoon, and hope it turns into a nap:sleep:. Right now having some :mcoffee:.
I love the handshake and the presentation. Do you watch the program where the follow the Cup all over the world? We enjoy seeing the players with friends and family, and of course the Cup.

Did a little TFL stretch, oh yes that is what is upset today. Got on the roller, it was OK with that, now back with ice and elevation.
The roller works SOOO well on my IT band! I love it! I used the link that you gave about the one where you did not have to get on the floor and ordered that one just a few minutes ago! I have learned though if I have the roller under me, as I get into my plank position, I can walk my feet out and turn my body to the right side on top of the roller and stretch it out! It feels so good! Then, when I am ready to get back up, I turn my body back to the plank position, go into the down dog and walk myself back to standing! :happydance:

@RestAssured , I love that small roller, it gets into smaller spaces. The instructions will show you how to use it in many other places.
I roll around on my floor roller front side and back, almost like a dance.

Good News, I made it into the pool :swim:. It was cold last night and it was 80 degrees, so I walked back and forth, then headed for the hot tub :bath:, Ahhhhhhhh, Wonderful!!!
Now :ice:, after my shower. Ready for the rest of the day, which will be :elevate:, :type:,and some gentle :upright:.

@pumpkin I came over to your site because I love all of your emoticons. they make my day. It is the little things Hope you are doing well. I have the IT band issue at the attachment at the knee area, that is where it hurts. DO you think will work there.

I am going to take a rest this afternoon, and hope it turns into a nap:sleep:. Right now having some :mcoffee:.

I do like that program. Williams deserved the Conn Smythe trophy this year for sure. Do you agree?
Sounds like you are having a pretty good day. Congratulations on your pool time. It was my intention to swim today but is too cold outside. Put the solar blanket back on the pool so we don't lose the heat that is there!

Have a great afternoon! :)

The roller definitely works whether it is at the knee or going up to the hip! Keep pressure on it on a few seconds then release and do it again! I love the roller on the floor where you use your body weight to get the soreness out!:loveshwr::happydance::egypdance:

Little cold front here today and my knee is not happy.
Taking it easy and thinking I may need a little more pain meds today, I have been gradually reducing, but will have to save that for another day.
I am finding it difficult with the new alignment, increased knock kneed, the outside muscles are sore from working overtime. Working on it in PT and with Aston Kinetics.
Thanks to Bonesmart for reminding me I am right where I should be.
