Hinged Joint Revision Complete, recovery continues

Oh @Pumpkln poor you. How awful. Let's hope the eye doc will listen to you about the crab shell. To me it sounds perfectly feasible. I hope it is just a worry and it goes. What a nuisance x x x x(big hug) x x x x

Not long to wait now. Hope eye surgeon can get to the bottom of it.

Re the link at the bottom of your messages. Its neat. How can I get one? C

Hello @patient 99, I have just successfully pasted my thread.
  • You go into your own thread page.
  • Click in the bar at the top that says Bonesmart.org and a load of http etc comes up.
  • Touch it once then press copy.
  • Go into your profile
  • Select signature, tap page twice and simply paste your copy on there.
  • Save changes et voila it's done.
I hope that this helps love Nana moon 27

Off to the physiatrist today for trigger point injections in my SI joint .
Eye appt in on Thursday.
:thankyou:@Nana moon 27 @patient 99

Trigger points were a numbing lidocane type agent, they will not do steroids when you have an active infection, which would be the above mentioned stye. Think I am going to have to get used to the idea that my revision will be postponed,:sorry:.
She wanted to look at how my hips were (I was sitting), the TKR one looked like a flopping windshield wiper below the knee :yikes:
Massage scheduled for this afternoon :yay:.

Forgot to mention, I almost became road kill today:yikes:. On the way home the car in front of me slamed on their brakes for no reason, next thing I know a semi is barreling down on me, now to speed up, Yikes. A little too close for comfort.
Think I best stay low the rest of the day.:bicycle2:

Wow. Glad you're ok.

Spoke to the OS's nurse today, she said the stye should not be a problem :yay:. All that worrying and losing sleep for no good reason .
She also answered all my other questions, and will ask OS the questions she was unable to answer. Tuesday I go for pre op testing and an EKG, Whew!
Hoping for a good nights .

Thanks for trying to help me. Sadly I've failed at the first hurdle. I went into my own thread, but couldn't find the bar at the top that says Bonesmart.org. There is something which says `in all of Bonesmart.org'. But I think that is to do with the extent of your search. I pressed it anyway but no http etc. came up.

I've got a computer friend visiting next week. I'll see if we can crack it then. Carol

Chris, please ignore previous message. I read further posts and see you have said how you got on. Tuesday will take you a little closer to revision. It will be a big relief once its done.

Hi @Pumpkln. I am absolutely over the moon that you are able to go ahead and get that surgery over. Hopefully for you what a relief. I do not know what your injections were for exactly it was all a bit technical for me I'm afraid. I'm guessing as it is an S it is spinal I just hope that they were not too uncomfortable x x x thanks for letting me know. Love Ann x x x

@Nana moon 27 , the S is for sacrum, just below the spine.
Feeling much better today, and I got a good nights sleep, what a difference a day makes. Very relieved that I can now move forward.
Looking forward to pre op blood and EKG Tuesday, 30 miles south of here so we will go out to lunch afterwards :happydance:.

So happy to read that you can move on with your revision. You need this and have been waiting too long as it is. Great news and I am glad that you are feeling better and got some sleep. Glad that you didn't get hit today! I used to worry about getting into an accident and having my revision postponed. Even something as simple as if I had fallen down and scraped my knee or a cut on the leg, then surgery would have been postponed. Be careful out there!!

Hi @Pumpkln Im ever so glad you got a decent nights sleep. I think it's really great that you are going to make a nice day of it and go for lunch after your bloods and ECG. That's such a good idea.

I hope you continue to be in less pain now and sleep well again x x x

Love Ann x x

Great news about revision! Experience and knowledge make second time round a lot easier. Good luck Tuesday. 'Things are falling into place'!

Thanks for stopping by, @RunA42K ,@patient 99 ,@Nana moon 27 , @spinfanatic ,@kneeper
Going early on Tuesday for labs, then looking forward going out for breakfast at an upscale restaurant.
Going to time how long it takes to get there, to plan on what time to leave the house the morning of surgery. There is a new freeway, much faster, and I am used to longer drive times. :friends:
