Another question --now that I've found this forum I have sooo many ! Have any of you travelled long distances 4 months post TKR ? I have a family wedding in Israel in May -the trip is 13 hours non-stop..anyadvice ?
It's not financially practical advise, but this might be the one time it's worth the investment to fly business class. The long haul carriers will have seats that fold down flat so you can elevate your legs.

The problem with torn tendons is that they do take time to heal and nothing you can do will hurry it up - you are doing the best thing by resting and icing. I know how easy it is to get depressed about not being able to exercise - I would feel the same but in another couple of weeks I bet it will be easier and you can get back on track.
