THR Pain when I sit for a longer time..

You might ask around in your area for a physiotherapist (or perhaps Rolfer or other highly trained body worker) who also is specially certified in "lymphatic drainage" massage. Many members report it's helpful.

(BTW: Hämatom in English is hematoma)

I just saw that I had missed your post earlier. My swelling seemed to be my entire leg. I cannot remember exactly when it resolved. I now have minor swelling of my left leg. My side sleeping was something I had to build up in time amounts slowly but surely. I still rotate between sides. The pillow between the knees helps me to feel more balanced. It sometimes seems that new discoveries are always happening. I discovered that my hips do not like standing still in one place. I am sitting at my morning post instead of standing. I decided that was better than starting my day off wrong. These slight adjustments help. Before surgery I would have never did this. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hippie,
We learn to make necessary adjustments in order to perform day to day duties.
Hopefully you have the weekend off & can give yourself some well deserved "rest."

Thanks for the update Jumeirah. Happy Three Month Anniversary!
I am sorry you will need to deal with the pain as your body reabsorbs the hematoma. I do hope the reassurance your OS offered in relaying you shouldn't worry eases your anxiety.

Here is an article on Trochanteric Bursitis -
Best Wishes for a good week!
